The location with a wonderful view over the mountains, the charming room, a fantastic breakfast and an awesome group of extremely helpful staff. It’s about a 15 min walk into the city center and that works fine in daylight. We’ll see you again 🌟🌟🌟

We loved our stay at the Auberge Claremont. We stayed in the wonderful Honeymoon Suite, beautifully decorated with a huge comfy bed and lovely bathroom. The room opened directly onto a small terrace and faced the pool. The Auberge was an oasis of calm when we returned every afternoon to relax by the pool and wander around the vineyard. Breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious, the best we had during our 4 week stay in SA. When we left Loryn emailed me as I had left some items behind and she kindly sent them on to our next hotel. I would not hesitate to return.

Beautiful peaceful and idyllic place. Kind friendly and attentive staff who made us feel so welcome.Stunning views over the vineyards and mountains. Great pool and lounging area. Wonderful breakfast. Spacious rooms with big comfy beds. About 2km to the center of Franschhoek. Had a wonderful relaxing and serene stay here and highly recommend it.

We've stayed at hundreds of bed and breakfast inns, a good number in beautiful country settings, so I'm not sure why this place felt so very special, but it is simply one of our favorite stays among similar vineyard or country stays. There is a peace and quiet permeating the place, an aroma, the small sounds of a family run farm and vineyard-in the shadow of those mountains-- hard to describe what a pleasure for the senses it was every minute of walking the grounds or sitting in our beautiful loft room watching either the sunlight or the full moon's light stream in or the clouds fly .... so many beautiful touches-all around the grounds, in the rooms--fresh flowers and herbs- daily breakfast notes.... and those eggs at breakfast! Why did they taste so good?! We have had farm fresh organic eggs, but I loved these eggs so much. And the lovely breakfast ladies- such charm, smiles, hospitality. Every corner of the place was lovely and while I felt it was very much modeled on similar French country inns or Italian masserias- it felt somehow different. Maybe its the mountains, or the wind. We loved it. Be aware, you cannot walk to and from the place after dark, it is pitch black and likely not safe to do so - but thank god for the Auberge's distance from what we found to be a very commercial and tacky tourist trap of a single main-drag town. Come to the area for the Auberge-and the beauty of he vineyars. If the town and its shops are your sort of thing, you may prefer staying at one of the many places off the main street that are closer- but there is transport to get you from this inn to the town or any restaurant in 5 minutes. If vineyard visits are your goal, you don't need to be in town. If it turns out the town is definitely not your cup of tea, you will be grateful to have your own beautiful vineyard and bit of heaven to enjoy in peace.

We had the private villa at the end with the (cold) pool. 2 bedrooms and a separate annexe. We loved our stay here, the rooms were beautiful with nice touches like a bottle of Clermont red and fresh cut flowers and herbs in all bathrooms. Would have liked some bottles of water and more firewood readily available, but these can easily be purchased in town a 5 minute drive away. It's a 15m walk in the daytime but parking was easy so we just drove. A continental breakfast was laid out on our terrace every morning and someone would appear to take our cooked breakfast order. We could have done with more juice most mornings but this was a minor thing. There were 5 of us and my 16yo had the attic room (accessed by outside stairs) which she loved. The views will stay with me for a long time. Recommended.

Peaceful, tranquil and beautiful place to stay. Wonderful walks within the estate, Very comfortable with easy access to Franschoek shops and places to eat. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Thank you for looking after us.

Wow!! Just spent 3 nights here and the whole experience was faultless, the breakfast was excellent, lovely position near to the town with beautiful scenery from the garden . Hope to be back some day !!

THE ABSOLUTE MOST ADORABLE VILLAS IN FRANSCHHOEK WITH THE MOST STUNNING VIEWS. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and truly enjoyed our experience here. We stayed for 2 nights and woke up to breathtaking mountain and vineyard views. The pool and heated towel warmers were a nice added touch. Breakfast was exceptional each morning. We would 1000% recommend.

This is a beautiful guest house on a 140 year old wine farm on the outskirts of Franschhoek. The room was large and the bathroom was great. Design and quality was high and the breakfast was superb. Definitely recommended.
