Special thanks to Naomi on reception for making our morning by letting 2 extremely hungover not so spring chickens have an extra late check out! At no extra cost too, thank you so much! Lovely clean hotel, everything you can need and close to the centre for a great night out! We will be back (for a chilled one next time! Haha)

Been staying at this hotel for business purposes for around 3 years, location is perfect to both Durham and Newcastle, spacious car park for work vehicles, durham city centre a half hour walk or 2 minute bus ride away, with a retail park located next door for any thing you may need.The staff are always helpful especially Holly and julianne in the restaurant, with reception staff always polite and friendly, happy to assist.

The bed was divine and I slept so well. This was my first stay here and I would suggest to anyone thinking about trying the Premier Inn that it’s a fantastic place to stay when visiting Durham Brewers Fayre next door is lovely for breakfast too.

The actual hotel was OK, although there were a couple of issues, There was a damp smell in the room and the shower was not hot at all. The biggest issue was breakfast in the attached Brewers Fayre. It was far from inviting Fried eggs were cold, bacon and sausages were luke warm and tasted horrible, also black pudding was disgusting, greasy fried rubber slices. Not a nice experience!!

Absolutely shattered after a one night stay. Woken up with the same banging door from around 5:30am. Other people were complaining of the same thing when we checked out. Breakfast wasn’t too bad but a pain to have to queue for coffee to then find there were no cups left and had to wait, bread was stale for toast, no Nutella left, orange juice was poor quality.

It’s nothing fancy, the breakfast is pretty basic and bland. The evening meals are very basic for a vegetarian. The service for the restaurant is poor but the staff are very friendly. I found a spider in my room which was not ideal.

When staying at this hotel make sure you do not have room 104 which was right next to staircase. All night it was like a stampede of elephants on the stairs, vibrating through room. Couldn’t get any sleep until early hours morning when everyone was eventually tucked up in bed.

Our room was very clean and warm. Bedding was spotless and facilities were very good. The hotel was in a great location for access to the city and other amenities. There was plenty of free parking. The hotel Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.
