포자다 쿠아타 포라(Pousada Guata Porã)

Pros: located very close to the Falls, can walk to the entrance easily. Easy access to the airport. Quaint, cosy spot that is surrounded by greenery. Spacious room and makes you feel like an escape from the city. Great breakfast spread! Good shower and bed. Cons: when we arrived, we were told both lunch and dinner would not be available till the end of the year and this left us scrambling for options to find take-away or travel out to the city to find food. The location is isolated, with gates controlled by a remote - this becomes an issue when you need to let delivery persons in and out when there isn’t someone at the reception. The room was not cleaned or towels changed over the 3 nights we stayed even though we asked twice. The lady at the reception gave us wrong info when we asked how to get to the Argentina side of the Falls, was generally not helpful. We were served rotten eggs on one morning - minor issue as this was not noticed by the cook. We were quite disappointed! When we arrived no one was there to open the gate for us and we when we came back on some nights, the reception was empty with no one around.

Staff at this hotel was excellent. The AC was beneficial and the beds were comfortable. The grounds were private and safe. It was good value for the money.

The property was certainly different. The chalets were clean but the furniture was old and basic. Fridge looked dirty and the bathroom needed a good scrub. Breakfast was edible, but very little of it. They run out of some foods and we had to ask for more of the other as they were running low. The housekeeper/receptionist was very helpful, but was only available a few hours a day. You are left to your own device in the evening, as there are no staff present. No where really suitable nearby to eat, and kitchen equipment in the room is not suitable for cooking. Pool looked a bit dirty and uninviting. Nice selection of cats and dogs to keep you company in the early evening.

Big rooms, very helpful staff and owner. Walkable to the National Park. The staff can book all activities and excursions and makes it easy to not have to stand in lines there.

The cabina are very ample, quiet and well keep. The location close to the park makes easy to walk to different atracción. Breakfast could be improved and keep it more clean .

Hearing birds in the morning upon waking up, bright casitas with big windows that open, country chic decor, beautiful landscaping, comfy bed. A bit of paradise!! Staff was friendly and welcoming. 5 minute walk to National Park Gate.

the property was nice but then the room was super stinky

Have been here twice and will continue to come back here whenever I am in the area. Such and amazing place and friendly staff. Glad to see it has continued to grow and progress. Really cool experience for whoever is wanting to feel connected to nature and enjoying being out near the falls!
