Our stay was so disappointing that I don’t even know where to begin. It was so bad that it ruined our honeymoon. I guess I’ll start from the beginning: 1. When we checked in, we were informed that the pool was closed. This inconvenient detail was not listed on their ******* listing. In fact, their very first photo on the listing is a gorgeous image of their pool. 2. The ******* listing was tagged as “parking included”. What does that mean? It means you have to pay $30/night for a parking pass in the TINIEST parking garage. They would not comp our parking for any of the inconveniences we experienced (see above and below). 3. The staff was very rude, unhelpful, and unkind. 4. When we checked in, we were given the wrong room number and keycard. After carrying our luggage all the way up to floor 15, we found that the room they had supposedly given us had been stripped. We should have been on floor 16. 5. When we finally got our keycard for the 16th floor, we found that the outlets in our room didn’t work. Absolutely ridiculous. 6. At breakfast, we found that there was a LOT more false advertising going on than we realized. The ******* listing had donuts in the picture of their breakfast bar. There were no donuts, which my husband was very much looking forward to. 7. Our room was dirty in places it shouldn’t have been. The corners. The bathrooms. Weird stains on the white sheets. Such a gross feeling. 8. The hotel is in a terrible and unsafe area of Fort Lauderdale. Take caution, and always stay with a buddy. Always let someone know where you’re at and where you’re going. Uber or Lyft if you can. Don’t walk alone at night. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Our honeymoon was ruined, and you really only get one of those in your life. I hope the hotel manager updates the ******* listing more often to prevent unhappy customers. They especially need to fix the photos that advertise amenities that are not included or don’t even exist at all. I don’t think we will ever return to a Hilton.
