Over rated hotel. Not worth the 500 euros per night. Could easily find a hotel for less. Also when booking on this site, the algorithm booked my room for one month sooner. It was absolute hell getting this straightened out and charged me an additional 300 euro. So be wary!!!!

Ein wunderschönes Hotel, welches altes nit neuem verbindet. Das Essen und das Frühstück waren sehr schön hergerichtet. Besonders hervorzuheben war Tommaso, der uns vom Check-in bis Check-out wunderbar begleitet hat. Solche Menschen sind Goldwert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

With Bolzano picked simply as a midway stop for our drive from Germany to Tuscany, we weren't expecting too much of the town but this hotel looked promising. We were pleased that BOTH exceeded our expectations. The city is vibrant and picturesque to where we wish we had stayed a few days instead of just a day and a half. As for Hotel Hortenberg, it was delightful and had an impressive feel. Our room (101) was clean, spacious, quiet, tastefully decorated, and with a generously sized bathroom. We found the staff to be welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast bar had something for everyone, with all selections fresh and well supplied. The garden and pool area were a pleasant oasis where barely a noise was to be heard from outside the property walls. The view up the mountain towering over the hotel and neighborhood was impressive. We hope to return to this area one day and to choose this hotel again.

My stay at Castel Hortenberg was an absolute delight. The Renaissance castle, meticulously restored, offered the epitome of luxury in the heart of Bolzano. The comfortable rooms, exceptional service, and exquisite dining options exceeded expectations. The spa area provided a serene escape, making the overall experience truly stunning. Highly recommended for a luxurious stay at the gateway to the Dolomites.

Exquisite! My family of four was delightfully surprised at the wonderful beauty and service and this amazing property. It started with a long, beautifully tree shaded gated driveway that opened at the end to reveal a beautiful small castle...and things only got better. Greeted by an extremely welcoming Thomaso (sorry about spelling) and shown a beautifully crafted modern and perfectly appointed room that felt like a suite. Welcome cookies and water. An offer for a welcome drink at reception. A beautiful pool area. An amazing breakfast assortment. The whole experience, even its onsite parking and proximity to walk to town. A+ Don't book any other place in Bolzano... Castel Hortenberg is PERFECTION...

Siamo stati un weekend in questa location spettacolare! Personale gentilissimo, struttura curata nei minimi particolari, camera spaziosa, letto comodo, spa bellissima, ristorante con cibo e vino eccellenti! Veramente complimenti per tutto!

Wonderful!!! Spotless with impeccable service !! Could not have been better. Chic and modern rooms in a castle. Great location for walking to old town Bolzano. Staff so helpful!! Sara , Samuela at front desk amazing helpful as is entire staff. Hannah at breakfast was lovely.. Breakfast delicious and large selection of homemade cakes . Do not think twice you won’t regret it!!!

Just when you least expect it! After a crash on the A22, we had an unanticipated stay in Bozen/ Bolzano. This Hotel is incredible - the attention to detail is exceptional, but also the team is excellent. This whole hotel is a hidden gem. Pool was piping hot in February. Amazing!

A real Castel , excellent service, foods at breakfast was really good. Rooms so nice! Exteriors nice too.
