호텔 라 카사 디 모르페오(Boutique Hotel la Casa di Morfeo)

My family had 3 rooms in this hotel. The quadruple room and two doubles. It is located about 15 minutes from the Duomo in a great location in the Center of the city. The hotel reception is on the 2 nd floor so you have to go up a short flight of stairs to get to the elevator to get to the reception area. The staff was friendly and helpful and offered to have decaf coffee available for me since I can’t have caffeine. I thanked them and asked about it at every breakfast but it never showed up. The breakfast was the same everyday except the days that they ran out of eggs, another day the coffee maker was broken. The beds were harder than I’m used to but we walked so much that I could have crashed on a cinder block at the end of the day. The had a fridge and safe in each room. The fridge was stocked with some water and drinks that you pay for if you use. The rooms were cleaned everyday, which was really nice to come in to after a long day of walking. The rooms had extra pillows and blankets - it would have been nice to have a fan. Later the cleaning lady told us we had a AC unit but the controller for this unit was never found in our room during our stay. The rooms were so hot that we slept with the windows open and were bitten by tiny mosquitoes. The bathroom in the quadruple room was plenty big enough. The shower didn’t drain very well and water would pool up in the bottom. The multiple shower and body heads were nice and powerful. We didn’t ever run out of hot water. I would stay here again but I can’t give it 5 stars because there is room for improvement. if you offer to do something for your guests then you should follow through or at least communicate why you can’t meet the request , especially if you offer to do it. Access to a fan in each room would be nice. Especially since there is no night staff on duty to assist you .

Located a bit outside of the city center but it only takes you a 15-minute walk to reach the cathedral. This is pleasant since you don’t get bothered by noises and people. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room was nice but the bed way too hard for us. We also had a few issues with the AC. There is a few mold in the bathroom. I can’t give 5 stars since there are a few improvements to make in my opinion. But globally, you can spend a good time there!

This hotel was an amazing choice! The communication went smoothly, the staff was lovely and the room was so comfy, with a sparkling clean bathroom and walk-in shower. The historic building added to the atmosphere. We had a big double bed with a balcony and it was a joy to be there. Especially when you have such a tasty breakfast too :)

La Casa Di Morfeo is more personal than your average hotel. This boutique hotel takes up a portion of a floor in a much larger building. The person at the desk was already expecting us, and checked us in quickly. Giulia called us several hours before to confirm our arrival and gave us directions, which I’ve never had a hotel do before. The hotel itself was bright, clean and very welcoming. The room was nicely air conditioned and very clean. The next morning, we were in a bit of a rush due to having timed tickets and this is where we met Giulia; professional, friendly and easy to talk to; she prepared our coffees and gave us some useful information. The breakfast buffet was perfect. Hotel was an easy ten minute stroll to Duomo. If I ever return to Florence I would definitely stay at La Casa Di Morfeo again. I cannot stress enough how wonderful Giulia was. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Located in an area near plenty of trattorias and local bars. Nice touristy sites. The hotel staff was amazing! They are very nice.

This property is VERY unique and absolutely beautiful. The showers are huge and really welcome after a hot day in Florence. The most beautiful thing are the staff at the hotel. I loved the staff and would stay there again any time that I'm in Florence.
