레지던스 라 레푸블리카(Residence la Repubblica)

I cannot sing the praises of this apartment enough! We stayed here for 4 nights and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The room had a fab view overlooking the Piazza Repubblica and we could see the top of the Duomo, Giotto's tower and Medici's Chapel from the window. The room was decorated in a traditional Florentine style. The walls were so thick (and a 3 shutter window system) which meant we were never disturbed by the noise on the square and it stayed lovely and cool. The bed was large and comfortable and there was mini kitchenette inside a purposely styled dresser. We ate out for every meal so didn't really use it, but tea/coffee supplies would have been nice. The really winner here is the location! All the typical tourist spots are within very easy walking distance! We'd absolutely go back here and recommend to any serious sightseers who value location above over-priced, modernized hotel rooms.

Dirty and water leak, wifi was bad, way overpriced for what it was, only positive is location, room was not functional as layout is poor. No cleaning supplies as everything was only rinsed and not washed, only stay if last resort, not recommended

We, mother & daughter, were in a "1-BR apt". Property is v dated, v below average. This place is overdue for renovation if used for tourists. Air-conditioner there(as listed on booking/hotel websites) but we were told not due to turn on during our stay (27°C). Windows can be opened but no window screens hence mosquitoes, especially with a few restaurants and eateries downstairs at street level. Also, very noisy even in wee hours with/without windows opened. Definitely not quiet and not for light sleepers. Bring your sleeping pills if you want a good-night's sleep. Lean and mean on supply such as toilet paper, towels, soap, shampoo.... No dish cloth, cleaning agents. Sponge for hand-wash in kitchen is not new but used/stained/gross. Despite presence of washing machine, dishwasher... there's not even single use of corresponding detergents. Looks like the hotel expects guests to bring/buy cleaning agents for a 4-day tour in Florence. We are aware of no housekeeping for our short stay(as stated on booking websites) but one bath towel per person??? Hand and face "towels" are not towels but simply napkins used in nice restaurants. First time ever for me to have to use restaurant napkins as towels!?!? €4 each additional towel if I want actual, normal towel. Given all those lacking amenities of a normal hotel for tourists, we were asked to pay for a "tourist tax" of €7 per person MUST BE IN CASH, card not accepted.

The property is in a perfect position overlooking one of the main squares in Florence. The place had a buzz about it from early morning and each evening some form of entertainment (jazz band, opera singer, musician etc) was taking place. Wonderful atmosphere we loved it. Being in the centre of town everywhere (Restaurants, museums,churches etc) was within a short walk

Excellent place to stay in Florence. Centrally located only two blocks from the Duomo or three blocks from the Ponte Vecchio. We stayed in a two room efficiency apartment with a mini kitchen. Excellent bathroom. A/C (which was needed). Elevators. Clean.

Very neat and spacious! Great location! I didn't like the lack of communication. They sent me an email with a hotel address to do the check in and when I got there , they send me to another hotel. It was stressful !

Great apartment with excellent elevator. It was perfect for our needs. The front desk support really went out of their way to help with the wifi challenges and we really appreciated that.

Beyond bad customer service from receptionists / supervisor ! Extremely rude and unprofessional . My room was dirty & there was bugs in my room. No shampoo, soap etc . Think twice before booking this place . Better places elsewhere. The only good thing about this place is the location that’s it, Everything else is a mess . I traveled all over the world & this is my first worst stay. Do your research before booking & call because the ad is misleading
