호텔 조이아(Hotel Gioia)

We had to stay in Florence an extra night because of the airlines strike and had a challenge finding someplace to stay. This seemed to be the best option. I have to say, that with a little effort and a bit of investment this could be a pretty cute boutique hotel. But that's not what it is now. It does have 24 hour desk coverage which is good. It seems to be a family run operation, and the common areas are servicable, though a bit run down. The room was not good. it was musty and felt humid, which is not a good combination with gel-foam mattesses and pillows. Everything felt slightly moist. Our room had no view at all. The AC unit was mounted near the ceiling with strict instructions not to touch the controls. When running it blew directly and vigorously onto the bed making it miserable. A $5 deflector would solve that problem, but I just don't think anybody cares. My wife was creeped out the whole time we were there. The bathroom looks like it had been recently re-done, but the shower drain was not funtioning well, and with only a tiny lip around the base, running the shower for more than a minute would cause an overflow. The location is not bad... you can walk to most things for sure, but the area is not very interesting. For someone who just wanted a budget base camp to explore and sleep this may work, except that we paid over $300 EU for the night, and you can do way better for that price if you book ahead.

Location great. Rooms were modernized. Lobby not on ground floor but take up elevator yet there was persisting faint foul odor of apparent sewer gas at ground level. Rooms OK but excessive mosquitos. Breakfast horrendous with apparent powdered eggs and virtually uncooked bacon and rationed milk and juice. average. Might stay there again only if price is right.

Excellent location. Close to all Florence has to offer. Hotel very clean and tidy. Staff very helpful. Lift to floors, which was helpful as not too good getting up stairs! Breakfast, which was included, very good.

I was there for four days and three nights on July 2022. I have chosen it because it is very close to the center. It's a tiny hotel very clean and tidy. Very nice indeed. You should try it. Central position.

A estrutura do prédio/hotel é bem antiga, porém os quarto/banheiro no qual fiquei são muito bons e de acordo com o preço ofertado. Já o café da manhã é uma confusão geral. O café é sob demanda, sucos idem e eles tem algum problema com colheres só pode,porque todos os dias faltou colher tanto grande como pequena, os produtos de café da manhã se já terminou quando você desceu, terminou... eles não repõe mais e você só pega o resto que sobrou. Tem horário marcado pra cada quarto descer num horário de café. Na recepção, atendem até bem, mas sempre tem um tumulto, pq quem é da recepção tá também cuidando do café, da arrumação, e tudo mais. A localização é ótima, bem no centro,perto de tudo e tirando estes probleminhas de logistica interna deles fica tudo certo.

Excelente recomendación, llegamos a Florencia con un inconveniente mde fuerza mayor y todos los miembros del hotel Gioia nos recibieron muy amables a las tres de mañana. Son predispuestos, amables, atentos a solucionar cualquier problema fuera del hotel. Agradecemos especialmente a Daniele que nos permitió permanecer en el recinto y brindó toda la ayuda que pudo. El hotel es limpio, completo, el desayuno muy bueno y rico, silencioso y la ubicación es excelente en el centro histórico de Firenze.

L’hôtel est très bien situé à quelques minutes à pied des principaux sites et proche de la gare et du tramway ( direct pour l’aéroport). Le petit déjeuner est compris dans le prix . La chambre était correcte avec une très jolie salle de bain et un wifi assez performant. L’hôtel est familial, avec une réception 24 h / 24. Un bon séjour

Bellissimo hotel in pieno centro a Firenze , a due passi dal centro e dai monumenti. In una zona tranquilla e pulita, servita da tantissimi negozi. Struttura molto ben tenuta . La reception sempre ordinata e con personale disponibile h24. La sala colazioni è ben preparata e la colazione a buffet comprende sia prodotti come croissant, sia torte , sia pietanze salate, con una varietà giornaliera, molto buona la torta al caffè. Le stanze sono ampie e pulite e ogni dettaglio è curato. Bagno molto ampio in camera. Aria condizionata e wifi funzionanti . Il personale molto gentile e cordiale. Veramente come sentirsi a casa durante una vacanza. Complimenti. Consiglio vivamente. Di sicuro ci ritorneremo

Hotel deludente, non corrisponde per nulla alle foto mostrate sul sito, Camera quadrupla molto stretta, pulizia pessima, nessun rapporto qualità prezzo, colazione con cornetti congelati. Corridoi che sembrano cunicoli molto stretti. Se dovessi tornare a Firenze sarebbe il primo hotel che eviterei.
