앵커 스위트(Anchor Suites)

Look... while the hotel is beautiful, it is not in Oia and doesn't face west. The pictures on the website are a bit deceiving. Our room was the farthest from the pool/breakfast area which equates to over 200 steps back up the hill. The towels were rough although the room was very nice and well-maintained. The walk to Oia, along the road, is about 15-20 minutes and there are no sidewalks so you're walking on the side of a road. I would never recommend doing it at night, or with children. While we loved Oia, we wished we had known the hotel wasn't in Oia as we would have preferred to stay where all the views and activities are.

I cannot express enough how wonderful this hotel is. It is outside of Oia. If you walk, it will take you about 25 minutes to get to the center Oia. The Honeymoon suite had a picture perfect view of the sunset. It does not have a Caldera view but an opposite ocean view. Staff was incredible? Friendly, coordinated anything anything you ask for. The room was large and clean. And on a side note, I have never in my life had better water pressure in a shower! I could've stayed there all day!!! The pool was beautiful and refreshing! They serve breakfast from 8-10. If there was any negative, it would be that breakfast is the same with a slight variation r/t eggs every day and the eggs are not very warm despite being in a sterno. But it is sufficient to start ones day.

Just finished my three day stay here at Anchor Suites. Beautiful property, peaceful and quiet. When I visited the main town yesterday I was so thankful I wasn’t staying in that crowded, noisy place. My suite was beautiful, with a nice sitting room and a kitchen with a refrigerator. Breakfast was served on the terrace outside my suite, which has a beautiful view. Pool area was lovely. Watching the sunset from the pool area was a highlight of my trip. Several restaurants were within walking distance. Perfect. I can’t say enough about the lovely staff members, Tania, Tonia and Rita were extraordinarily kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to advise me about tours, transportation and island life. I am forever grateful to them for my wonderful experience here at Anchor Suites.

What can I say Santorini is the most beautiful island I have ever travelled to, we arrived back from Oia a couple of days ago. We booked a last minute weekend trip as the flight were so cheap, I have always wanted to travel to Santorini and I wasn't disappointed. The room was simple, but romantic with a comfy four poster bed and powerful shower. There was fridge and sink so you can prepare cold snacks, we walked to the local supermarket (15 min walk) and purchased cheese, bread and cold meats for a midday snack and the wine - the greek wine here is of a good standard. The hotel sells soft and alcoholic drinks, the beer is inexpensive around 2/3euro in can, expect to pay double for the wine than what it is at the supermarket. the continental breakfast delivered to your room was a nice touch and was left on the table outside - you can chooses time. The views are fantastic with a light breeze, the property is very tranquil and peaceful. The pool area is lovely with the most comfy sun loungers. The walk in to the centre of Oia is around 20 minutes. We ate in Oia one of the night and the other the restaurant next door - Restaurant Finikia which we would highly recommend, the views are beautiful and if you book on the outside terrace you can watch the sunset. The cost here was half the price of Oia restaurants ( I will write a separate review). Do not hesitate to book here, we will be back!
