Travelodge Colchester Feering

Lovely friendly helpful staff. Rooms spotless. Room overlooked field with lots of bunnies- adorable.Close to food outlets & garage.On main road but a very peaceful nights sleep 😴.Plenty of hot water even at 5am.Easy checkin /checkout.Lady on duty this am came out to say goodbye and wish us a safe journey home, which was lovely!

Hotel was clean. Plenty of bedding and towels. Dogs were welcomed with a treat. Reception staff very pleasant.

Short stay whilst working at a nearby site. Arrived early hours of the morning but was still greeted by a warm smile at reception from Ramis who was very helpful and got me my room quickly. Slightly dated travelodge could do with some modern upgrades but you know what you’re getting for the price, would stay again.

Location was perfect for what we needed. Travelodge certainly need to spend some money updating this hotel so obviously the staff can't help that, however what can be helped is the cleanliness. As soon as we arrive I noticed hair in the bath. The room appeared clean overall until I removed my bag off the shelf that was thick in dust, this made me look further, tops of the picture and mirror, the back of the TV all thick in dust. Then having worked in hotels in the past I *****ped the room before we left, the bottom of the bin was filthy and absolutely stunk. Who ever rooms checks these rooms must walk around with their eyes closed.

Everything at the hotel was up to the usual high standard. Outside was a nigh**are with Lorries parking across the entrance waiting to go into the petrol station, had to wait for ages until it cleared. Car park outside very very busy with people parking everywhere going into the greggs & Burger King.

Used the hotel as a one night stop over before a ferry crossing. Very convenient location just off the A12. Arrived quite late, Jayne was very friendly and welcoming. Checked us in quickly. We needed a cot for the room, which she bought down and set up herself not even 5 minutes after giving us our keys. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything you need for a quick stay over. Jayne checked us out the next morning too, still with a smile on her face even at the end of her night shift. She was very attentive and couldn’t do enough during our stay. We’d stay again just for the staff.

We stayed for the weekend, whilst attending a wedding nearby. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The hotel was clean, as was our room. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room and we borrowed an iron and ironing board from reception, who couldn’t do enough to make our stay the best it could be. The room had a lovely view of a field and we woke up to bunnies hopping about on the grass and generally looking extremely cute.

A bit outdated and scruffy in carpark, needs a good cleanup, wouldn't stay again out of choice, A bit sad really, but staff attentive.

Good clean and tidy rooms. Very helpful , friendly and polite staff. Well presented hotel. Good location to stay for Colchester and surrounding areas. Lots of food outlets if your not going out to chose from within walking distance Will certainly stay again.
