The bed was the worst we ever slept in , the noise at night from pipes was terrible every hour all night absolutley awful the food was good shame people treat you like a thief wouldnot stay at this pub again dont know why certain restauraunt clients thpught we were thieves leaving handbags open wallets and phones bank cards on tables absolute joke

We really enjoyed our time at the shepherd hut, the room was spacious and the board games were a nice touch. The bed was comfy and bathroom came with everything you could need. The pub food was great especially the lasagne and seemed good value for money, the dinner allowance was also a nice touch. All the staff were kind and nothing was too much trouble. The fire pit and hot tub was ace and the breakfast in the morning topped it off. We really enjoyed our stay at the shepherds hut and we will definitely be back soon!

Shepards Hut. Cosy, private, lovely, refreshing. Secluded garden area, wood fired tub and an immaculately presented hut. A great stay in an immaculate hut. Food inside was excellent and the staff are brilliant. Good value and service. Worth a stay if you are in the area.

Staying here for 2 nights. Checking in simple quick effective. Staying in room 10 close to main building but nice a peaceful. Room spacious well equipped comfortable bed and smart TV so I could stream Netflix via my account. Unfortunately due to work only got chance to have toast for breakfast as had to leave just after 7.00am but the choice of cereal looked good and had real butter on toast. When back in area will plan later start so I can try a cooked breakfast as based on their being Mel’s should be good. I have left feedback on the restaurant as well if you’re interested. Highly recommended I will be using again

Just arrived home from a one night stay at one of the most beautiful places.... A Shepherd's hut. From start to finish it was a truly tranquil stay. We had dinner bed and breakfast.. Last night's dinner was lovely and our sleep was good too. We didn't use the hot tub but next time we will! We woke up to an amazing view of the pond and fields beyond. Breakfast was also very good and staff were friendly at all times which made us feel at home. We are definitely going back and looking forward to taking friends with us to enjoy the experience we had. Don't hesitate to go and you will feel a relaxed time. We drive for nearly 2 hours to get to this pub to meet up with family. We think it is a lovely pub with great food, especially the honey and mustard chicken! We went here for a very special Birthday and Peter, Alina and Conner made it extra special which really meant a lot to all of us. Thank you very much x.
