This is a great place set in a lovely village. I had a standard double room which was compact but well appointed and spotlessly clean. There was a noose from the kitchen extractor but that stopped at 9pm and didn’t come on when they started breakfast thankfully. Plenty of hot water and a good shower. I ate in the bar. The food was great value and proper pub food with a good selection. Breakfast was excellent too. Will be back.

Booked the suite for the night before my wedding. The bathroom looks lovely but the shower drain was full of hair so the shower kept overfilling. The water was not warm so I couldn’t use the bath. The room was also cold. The bar is right underneath this room so it is loud. For the money paid, I was so disappointed. I’ve tired to contact the hotel multiple times concerning my complaint but I’ve not had any response.

Christmas Day luncheon. What an excellent day. The food was really amazing; so tasty and presented so well. For so many covers at the same time, the service was exemplary, like clockwork and everything was piping hot. The atmosphere was warm, Christmassy and friendly. Well done all the wonderful staff. Really good pub experience: good B&B in a comfortable, recently decorated bedroom with new ensuite, delicious breakfast and good dinner the night before. Nice bar full of locals as well as visitors and my husband pleased with the beers on tap. Food is “quality pub” in a nice diningroom; we were offered a “Festive” menu or a “normal” menu and were able to chop and change. Total bill very reasonable when you consider what was provided. Good provision for veggies, too. Reasonable wine list, well thought out.

Very comfortable room in a newly built extension to the hotel. Friendly staff, a nice bar, and an exception dinner, beautifully cooked and presented. So, breakfast was a disappointment. A buffet is always underwhelming but the cooked meal was poor & and huge contrast to dinner. Hard to explain or understand.

Booked pretty much the whole hotel for our Golden Wedding/70th Birthdays celebration, family & friends travelling from all over UK. Rooms were clean & of an excellent standard, breakfast excellent, a good choice and plenty of it. We ordered a hog roast for our party, WOW!! it was amazing, so much food complete with salads, potatoes, sauces etc. all cooked and prepared to perfection, followed by huge cheese boards and Lincolnshire Plum Loaf, certain that no one went hungry! The staff are efficient, pleasant & friendly, nothing is too much trouble and everything spot on. A marvellous team running a truly magnificent hotel. Congratulations and just keep on doing what you are doing, we will definitely be back to see you soon, worthy of 5 stars.

Average Sunday lunch, have had far better. Yorkshire pudding was soggy, roast potatoes average. Good cauliflower cheese. Brownie pudding was more cake like than brownie consistency. Honeycomb garnish was a nice accompaniment. Would not rush back.

We had a lovely stay ,a fabulous room so spacious and with a slipper bath! Spotlessly clean and comfortable. The food was delicious..ate there both nights …breakfast also very good well presented and good quality The staff were polite and friendly especially Chelsea and Richie… This is a country pub ….full of character and history..in a quiet village but within reach of Lincoln full of history and great shops and restaurants.Also RAF Cranwell close by . A very informative little Museum near Sleaford a few miles away. Highly recommended!
