호스텔 레이문도(Hostel Raymundo)

I was here for 2 nights. The room i stayed in was a 4 person room and i shared it with a friend. The fact that it was just the two if us in the room, made me feel comfortable enough so i dont know how how the experiemce would have been if there were the other 2 people with us. My room had a bunk bed and two single beds. Everything was clean and decent. We got breakfast at our door packed and ready for the morning. The kitchen is small and lovely and the kitchen's balcony is just awesome. One of the things that i did not like was the fact that the bathroom was super cold. Also we got a heater in the room in case the room is too cold (we used it). I will consider this hostel if i am ever coming back to Évora.

Booked 2 mixed-dorm bunkbeds for me and my partner. I went there at around 18h00 and no reception was found. Considering the price, the place was alright, and pre-packed breakfast was not bad, neither. Met cool people there as well. The problem was that there was a portable heater or dehumidifier buzzing (in that malfunction type of noise) 24 hours around. Irritated by it, I ended up resting on the sofa in the hall, when a girl came to tell me that she found bedbugs in her room. She said she had talked to the hostel staff earlier and at the time no one was there to help her out. Since I had booked for another night in the next week, we went back anyway. Only that we found ourselves put in the family room (with 4 beds) instead of the mixed-dorm. The lady working there was helpful and sweet. But we didn't expect the bedbug situation. We got bit and I particularly had strong allergic reaction. My upper shoulder, neck and face got all horrible. Got antiallergic medication and ointment, but still, I spent a whole week in misery because of the itchy skin rashes. The hostel replied fast and said that they would like to refund us (26 euros) and compensate us for the medication expense(10.5 euros). And they did. They also explained me in details how they had been tring to solve the problem and how much they had spent. Meanwhile, the room with the problem was still available for booking. (Because it is very very difficult to decide if the problem been totally solved, as they wrote. )

The first night was terrible. They didn't have the portable air conditioner hooked up and so it was very hot. Finally I had to open a window which was also terrible. There's a 24-hour food kiosk across the street and bands of students were standing in front of it and yelling until 3:00 a.m. . The second night was not a weekend and they hooked up the air conditioner and it was fine. I gave a medium review because one night was terrible and one night was good.

The positives: Good value, good location, friendly staff, safe for travelers. Nice small terrace to enjoy Negatives: None, if you are content with a predominantly backpacker vibe.

Bathroom is shared. cleaning is extremely bad

Clairement on y est allé pour le prix. Pas decu. Des prestations de bases satisfaisantes. L'insonorisation est pas bonnes c'est sûr mais si tout le monde est respectueux et silencieux ça fera bien l'affaire. Le petit déjeuner compris dans le prix. Simple mais efficace.

Lugar charmoso e muito confortável, com camas limpas e colchão bom. Tivemos uns probleminhas que foram solucionados, entre eles: check in antecipado não existe em Portugal, ok deixei a mochila e fui passear, na volta a moça da recepção esqueceu de me dar às toalhas (pago a parte), só me dei conta às 20h da noite!! Consegui o telefone do Sr. Pedro e o mesmo foi até lá depois das 22h nos entregar. Banheiro limpo e separado do masculino, porém o chuveiro tem temporizador, então meninas, esqueçam de lavar os cabelos ou tenham muita paciência. Valeu a 1ª experiência em hostel.

Très bien. La cuisine n'était pas très propre au sol et dans frigo. Rapport qualité-prix excellent

Etablissement non respecté par les clients qui le fréquentent : cuisine partagée mais vaisselle non nettoyée par les utilisateurs, rideaux de douche à bannir, portes bruyantes, établissement non insonorisé. Prix modique justifié. Accueil chaleureux petit déjeuner convenable et copieux
