Best stay we have ever had, the hotel has so much character and charm but the owner operators were by far the highlight of our stay the husband was fantastic and assisted us with our needs while his wife is a fantastic Chef we loved every meal and interaction with both of them. Can’t wait to return

Stayed one night and was warmly greeted by the owners. Very sweet and caring people. They have a good restaurant and good breakfast. The room was perfect with a sauna in the room! There is a private parking and the salon is located on walking distance from the centre. If in Epernay try this one out, you won't be disappointed 💕🥂

From the moment we arrived Sabrina and Jean Francois made our stay so personal and special. The hotel is a gem in Epernay and has so much individual character and soul. A grand building in a fantastic location with small number of rooms that if you're looking for something different thy aligns with the uniqueness of champagne this is for you. It's a family run business and a far cry away from corporate driven empty shell hotels - this hotel is about living, enjoying food, enjoying wine and enjoying the company of those close to you. Our room was exceptional and crazy! Round bed, jacuzzi bath and sauna . Take one night of you stay to indulge in the room itself! The restaurant is charming and everything has care applied to it. This hotel is run by a couple who are probably the most hospitable hoteliers I and ever met in my global travel experiences.

We booked a room at this place, although it's expensive, as all the other top-rated hotels in Epernay were full. It's an old building that was apparently empty for several years, and is being renovated by new owners into a hotel, with a restaurant due to open in October. At present there are only three rooms, though the owner says there are also five apartments let separately. Our room was overstuffed with Victorian imitation-Louis XVI furniture covered in gold leaf, with no space left to open suitcases or move around. Yet the attached ensuite was enormous, with not just a toilet but both a hammam (a shower with a steam attachment) and a sauna too. The renovation paid no heed to usability. For example, there was no extractor fan; the hammam filled up with steam so quickly that visibility dropped to zero and we had to open the exterior window. The suitcase holder in the alcove provided for the purpose was too small for our one standard-size suitcase; the owner suggested we put it on one of the two tables (which was no good for sitting at, as the "matching" chair fit under it snugly with no space for human legs). The light switches and power sockets were in all the wrong places, and the wifi didn't work. When we complained about the room having too much furniture, the owner suggested we move to a bigger room in the hotel, the room with the circular bed about which the French-language reviews all rave, but wanted an extra 200 Euros for that (I could have got it cheaper online). The owner seemed anxious to please, but as with Basil Fawlty, we kept getting surprises. He offered to give us a lift to our restaurant and then later said he'd charge 10 Euros for that (we walked). He then came to the restaurant to offer us a free lift back. Finally as we were leaving he charged us another 48 Euros for two breakfasts, pointing at some small print in French on his phone. The breakfast was not worth that, being a lukewarm omelette, a couple of pieces of flabby bacon, and tepid coffee. We'd said nothing, assuming it was included. This is in every conceivable way how not to run a hotel. We start off feeling sorry for them but came to the conclusion that they need to get a professional hotel manager in or they're likely to lose their money.

ayant annulé une réservation dans un établissement sur Vimay, je me suis mis a la recherche d'un autre lieu de villégiature. Je bénis mon annulation ! J'ai découvert une petite (une grosse ^^) pépite de gentillesse et d’accueil. Ce lieu est magique, les hôtes, charmant et sachant rester simple, sauront vous conter l'aventure de la rénovation de l'ancien salon Perthuis. Sabrina, Jean-François et l’équipe dont ils se sont entourés seront aux petits soins pour vous durant la totalité de votre séjour. Le restaurant saura ravir vos papilles, avec un menu aux accompagnements de saisons, qui allie fraicheur et qualité. Vous trouverez certainement dans la carte des vins, sans vous faire assassiner en terme de prix, le vin ou le champagne qui saura accompagner votre repas. Je suis partagé entre l'envie de divulguer cette adresse à tout mon entourage, ou de plus égoïstement la garder rien que pour mon épouse et moi, comme un petit trésor. Il est de ce lieu comme des coins a champignons: On en rapporte plein de saveurs et de souvenirs délicieux, mais on hésite a les divulguer :) Le fils de la famille, déjà present et actif au sein de l’équipe devrait a terme reprendre les lieux et laisser ses parents profiter d'une retraite ensoleillé bien mérité. Nous lui souhaitons tous nos vœux de succès même si nous n'avons que peu de doutes tant il semble être fait du même bois. Lydie et vincent
