ViaVia Entebbe

This place is big and they offer a variety of things. However the service is very mixed. To be honest we wanted to give them 3,5. It’s not possible and therefore we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Service: it really depended which who you were talking. Some were very friendly others didn’t care that much. Rooms: spacious and very happy with a private bathroom. Bed was comfortable. They only clean when you ask for it. It is not necessary to clean every day, however we stayed 5 days and we believe after 3 days you at least need to check for the towels and bins. Amenities: 1) when we were there so many times we didn’t had any power (electricity). We heard some discussions of the staff about this. A bit weird. 2) there is a pool. The water is freezing cold and chairs are a bit hard. Still very nice to relax. 3) their restaurant garden is very nice and romantic. Overall food is good. We were pushed to pay the bills even though we were informed that we could pay when checking out. That was a bit strange. 4) they offer tours and stuff. We did one, it was okay-ish. It was to the capital. We didn’t like the end because all of the sudden the tour was finished but no one told us at what time we were supposedly to be done. 5) drop off and pick up service from the airport is very affordable. 6) option for a late check out that was very nice as we had a late flight. 7) a small store. Location: closely to the airport. A bit away from Kampala but we didn’t mind it at all. It truly felt like an oasis inside the tiny resort. Price: we paid less than €60 per night including breakfast.

8 day safari with my sister with Via Via Adventures and it was an amazing trip! From driving with our cool guide, Jeck to seeing mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, it was full of adventure! The accommodations were just perfect for the different areas of Uganda that we were exploring and we had ample time to enjoy ourselves as well as explore! From Kibale and the crater lakes to Queen Elizabeth and the Kazinga Channel to Lake Mutanda and the views of the virungas, it was magical! Bwindi Impenetrable Park is a once in a lifetime type place! Thanks Via Via and staff for making this safari special! We enjoyed staying at Via Via in Entebbe as well before and after the safari! Nice rooms, staff, drinks, and food! Perfect! The animals and nature are missed already! Thanks Uganda!

The ViaVia in Entebbe is a nice place to stay upon your arrival or departure in/out of Entebbe. I spent two nights here in total, one on each end of my trip and very much enjoyed my stay. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was happy to assist (and even change my room at one point because of a noisy neighbour) whenever I requested. The restaurant provides some nice local and international meals which I thoroughly enjoyed, and the breakfast is delicious with ample choice for anyone as well. All in all, I can recommend to stay at the ViaVia whenever you’re in Entebbe.

Convenient place to stay starting or ending your trip. Friendly staff, several options of rooms, tents etc. Bar and lounge overlooking a dam with some birds and even a few Waterbuck coming to drink water! Swimming pool available if you would like to cool down. Food average to good! Accommodation is basic, but provides all you need!

I have been staying at ViaVia Entebbe multiple times, and it now feels like I am coming home. The location is great, and the staff is very helpful and attentive. This time, we also added a three-day safari. Every aspect of it was amazing! Our driver and guide, Danny, did an amazing job: He is knowledgeable, attentive, careful and as excited as his customers about checking off the animals on the bucket list. He is passionate about his work, which made the trip even more enjoyable. We did a rhino trekking, the Murchison Falls, two game drives and a boat tour. We skipped the chimpanzees, which we now regret. This will be the reason to repeat the trip :)!. Thank you to Linda for organizing the trip so carefully and being available throughout, and to Danny for making this such a great experience!

We were a family of 4 on a safari trip to Uganda. Our trip was to start from and end at Entebbe. So i got in touch with Maggie at Viavia for my reservation. They were very helpful and i settled for the “ Glamping Tents”overlooking the beautiful swamp. It was such a unique experience with open showers!!! a one of kind. The breakfast and dinner were excellent and the place in itself was like a nature park with lots of birds. The staff chris n Olivia were very courteous and also the staff at restaurant.. we ended our safari with the stay again at Viavia. Special word of appreciation for Vincent who picked and dropped us at the Airport .. keep it up
