더 켈뱅크(The Kellbank)

After climbing the scafell pike, we went straight to this hotel. The staffs were really kind especially to the old man. You can really see the passion in his work . The hotel was amazing because it’s clean and well maintained. They also have a restaurant so you don’t have to go outside to look for a food which is really inconvenient idea for those who are tired from climbing. I guess we tried to book for an uber eats, deliveroo etc but they don’t have it in that area. The food was great and they have a free breakfast as well.

Lovely pre ordered Sunday roast… nothing was too much trouble for our large party booking. Extra gravy and changed meals. Friendly staff and allowed to bring own cake for birthday celebrations. If being picky then the Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were a little over done.

Our downstairs bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. Everything you might need was provided. The towels were white and fluffy, the room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was generous and well cooked. The service was excellent.

We stayed at the Kellbank for 4 nights. Rooms were lovely and clean and we slept well in the comfortable beds. The cooked breakfasts were amazing. We had dinner on 2 occasions which were also lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not far to Scafell Pike which we climbed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Really good as usual, especially if you have a Tesla or EV. 3 chargers. Foods very good, accommodation is very decent. Bar food starts at 5pm and finishes circa 9pm. If want drinks later bar will accommodate like any good hotel. Very close to fells and decent walks, although l stayed for work.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over a long period - I have known many owners and managers but can honestly say that the current team are the best I have known. Great food, friendly staff, some real characters amongst the regulars. Comfy, practical rooms with reliable wi-fi and if you are lucky enough to get one of the pods the views are amazing on a clear day (unfortunately the weather isn't as predicable as the warm welcome!)

Had a lovely stay at the kellbank, room was lovely and clean, beds were very comfortable, food at breakfast was incredibly good, with lots of choice. All staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all I cannot fault the kellbank, it is a really nice place to stay.

Stayed in one of the cabins - compact but spotless, warm (in January!) and comfortable - only very slight problem was the heating control which is a tad over complicated but did not in any way detract from our stay....own transport essential...fantastic location...food great and a great, welcoming staff team.

Absolutely perfect for my needs. Staff so accommodating food delicious and plenty. Room excellent and price very reasonable. Slept well and had great views. Hoping to return later in the year. Very dog friendly I was very happy and impressed with the stay.Thankyou
