Solar Madariaga is beautifully designed, with comfortable rooms and wonderful patios to enjoy mornings or afternoon. The staff is gracious and helpful from the moment reservation is made. The trip was even more enjoyable with their recommendations. Finally, the breakfast was delicious.

Superb hotel - awesome rooms, cocktail bar - great food and wine list - very helpful staff & good English…very good value. Really enjoyed our stay - interesting history to the building too - been in family multiple generations. Really recommend

We stayed for 3 nights in March 2024 but wish we had stayed longer! Beautiful hotel in lovely Vicuña. The staff were great at communicating in the lead up to our trip and gave us lots of recommendations for local excursions/activities. Our room was very comfortable with a great view out to the terrace and mountains. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed one lunch and one dinner at the hotel. We had some of the best pisco sours of our trip! Massages on the roof terrace were great and good value for money. Diego was very helpful at giving us tips for the remainder of our trip in Chile.

Beautiful grounds around a historical manor house that has been tastefully updated mixing traditional wood with modern features. Delicious restaurant with breakfast included in our stay. Relaxing, welcoming environment. The owner showed us around and provided some history about the property, very friendly and speaks fluent English. We especially enjoyed the private rooftop jacuzzi we could reserve and used it to star gaze one night.

My partner and I loved our stay. Diego was incredibly welcoming with perfect English - we enjoyed the story of the place and that it had been in his family for generations. The rooms were beautifully furnished and finished and impeccably clean. The decor was really stylish. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool area. The pool was really refreshing with a bar next to it. We went to dinner at the restaurant in the evening and the food was divine. 10/10 from us - wish we could have stayed longer :)

Very nice little hotel with excellent restaurant. The proprietor is very helpful and speaks excellent English. We highly recommend this hotel. It is great place to stay for a day trip to the beautiful Elqui Valley.

My mother and I visited Solar Madariaga Hotel in June/July of 2023. From the moment we got there, we were so well taken care of by the owner and the other employees. Everyone was so genuine and kind. It felt so comfortable and different to stay in a place that had been owned by someone's family for so long. The owner, Diego, was so attentive to us and cared about our trip so much. He took us to a winery and pisco distillery which was so fun! My mom and I expected to do much more in the area but every day we just wanted to stay around the hotel because of the scenery and pool. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant and drinks were so, so delicious. I loved Chile but Solar Madariaga made me love it even more. I look forward to returning someday.

Great cozy hotel, staff is second to none in service and care for guest, The hotel is in and old town house nicely remodeled with chic style. Was a little cold for the pool that is very rare. Super clean and great beds!

We really loved this hotel. It was beautiful. Big room and bathroom with a lovely courtyard garden right outside the room. Second garden area with a pool and lots of comfortable easy chairs/loungers. The breakfast included in the rate was superb, wide selection and healthy food readily available. The staff were super friendly and we actually ate in the restaurant for two of three evenings as it was so good - very attentive waiting staff and a great cocktail bar. We definitely recommend it and would stay here again.
