아스트라 빌리지 호텔 스위트(Astra Village Hotel Suites)

The hotel is about 5 minutes taxi ride from the airport making it really convenient. The rooms are clean with everything you need. The pool is great and the sun loungers very comfortable. You can watch incoming planes landing from the pool. People tend to put their towels down before the pool opens, which can be frustrating and means waiting for a lounger if you don’t do that - Tip: if going in July (it was 33 degrees) go to the beach first and then the pool around 4/5pm and you’ll get a lounger and quieter pool. Hotel is within walking distance of both Ammes and Ai Helis beaches which are immaculate. The water is clean and clear. We would definitely return.

We felt relaxed the moment we arrived!! Had the most wonderful time looking at the sunsets and enjoying delicious cocktails. Excellent location,such a beautiful and welcoming place! A special thanks to Sylwia , Irene, and Dymitris for looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble!

This hotel is not 4 star! On arrival we paid €7 for room tax per night, we expected to pay room tax but this hotel is not worth it after staying in many 4 star hotels around greece I would say it was more 2 star. Location is great close to the beach and only a bus ride into argostilli, the hotel is not welcoming when you arrive there was 1 person behind reception, you don't get assistance to your room, your just told where to go, we went half board, the room was very basic, kitchen sink in a wardrobe, cooker hood?basket of random cuttlery, not useful, a kettle, tea coffee sugar not provided, 2 single beds pushed together to make a double they were forever separating, reported to reception it wasn't good enough, expected a double mattress they celotaped the legs together which didn't hold! On appearance the room looked clean but obviously not deep cleaned! The cleaners were lovely & friendly and made the beds & cleaned the room everyday fresh towels etc, but unsure if the sheets were changed in the 2 weeks when we were there as there was a stain on the sheets, the best thing about the room was the shower! The balcony is just big enough for 2 chairs & a table. We arrived late afternoon so decided to try the food, not a lot on offer fish fingers? Not very greek! No form of potatoes? Food not labelled very well ! Food was always cold we complained to the rep she advised at reception to heat the food up this was not done! Had to pay extra to go to the resteraunt over the road for meals which I can highly recommend! The pool area is very nice but too cold for some. Better food is also served at the pool bar which we enjoyed but the buffet was disgusting! Very little variety and cold. Svoronata is beautiful the perfect place for a quiet holiday it's also best to hire a car to get out and about I would not stay at this hotel again if you want the Greek experience you will not get it here.

There is so much to like about this hotel on first impressions. Conveniently situated near to the airport, the beach, places to eat and drink. Also, very close to the bus stop to argostolion. The hotel reception, pool area and grounds look lovely. The rooms are cleaned daily and the staff work extremely hard. Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit dated. They still have an extractor fan (no hob) next to the sink, both of which are closed off by wardrobe doors, obviously from years ago when they were self catering. This decor does not feel like 4* boutique. Indeed, the tourist tax for this hotel is €7 per night, which we thought was expensive for the quality of our room and experience. However, the main disappoin**ent for us was the FOOD. It was lukewarm at best. I'm sure the staff work hard to make it and give it flavour, but the turn over of food was way too slow. Therefore, food sat for long periods. We struggled, both at breakfast and the evening meal, with the temperature and freshness of the food. And for the hotel to say there is a microwave, really doesn't justify them trying to sell themselves as 4*. We would have liked to see the addition of fresh, made to order items, i.e. eggs, omelettes, etc at breakfast. Then grilling fresh meat and fish in the evening, rather than sat in sauces that are lukewarm. My wife is a vegetarian and really struggled sometimes to find something to eat, other than salad. We also expected to see fresh fruit at breakfast, rather than tinned peaches and fruit cocktail. My breakfast was madiera cake and coffee throughout my holiday. There are other eateries within the area, where the quality, temperature and value for money was much better. However, being half board at the hotel, why should you have to go to additional expense. Food does seem to feature as an issue across many reviews, and was a common topic of conversation with other guests around the pool area, who were equally disappointed.

This is a truly beautiful place to stay, it is very clean, the staff are amazing and work so hard. The pool area is stunning with quality sun loungers, the rooms are clean and the cleaning staff do a superb job everyday. The views are rural and unspoilt. The only negative with our stay is the food (breakfast and evening meal), sure the chef does an amazing job with the taste but the temperature is barely lukewarm and although there is a microwave to heat food through, the fact that it has stood so long affects the freshness. Every 4 star hotel we have stayed at previously has offered freshly cooked eggs at breakfast made to order by a chef (omelet or fried) and in the evening a bbq or freshly cooked meats. I hope the hotel seriously considers their food offering because this is something that is easily rectified and really will ensure a 4 star experience for customers. Excellent location close to the (not at all busy or intrusive) airport. The hotel has a quite expensive feel to it at very reasonable room rate. We took the B&B option as we had a car and like visiting tavernas rather than hotel food but the buffet breakfast is as good as you would expect of any 4/5* hotel so no worries there. We arrived back daily to fantastic sunsets from the pool area where we drank sundowners. The rooms are in individual blocks of four (two up two down) with well positioned balcony`s that allow a good degree of privacy from next door. We had a ground floor garden view in block 10 which we enjoyed tremendously.

Great hotel, good location, many beaches only a short drive away. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance, facilities were very good, very clean, tidy and well maintained. Two pools and lounger areas. Room was excellent with a sea view, cleaned every day ex Sunday. Very friendly staff as usual in Greece and especially Maria in the bar area who looked after us so well and Olga, in the restaurant every morning for breakfast. Would definitely recommend it.

We have just got back from our 3 night stay at Astra Village and we loved our stay. I couldn’t fault anything. All the staff were so friendly, hotel was clean and food was good. We went half board and ate breakfast every day and dinner once just because we wanted to get out and explore the tavernas around the hotels for dinner however we did pay for lunch and cocktails for lunch, everything we ate and drank was delicious. The sunbeds are the most comfortable sunbeds I’ve ever laid on (we fell asleep many times on them). I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Booked this as a solo trip and I could not have wished for a nicer experience. The staff made me feel like a part of their family. It's a fairly small hotel so it feels nice and personal when you see familiar faces each day. The rooms are average size with a nice balcony overlooking the countryside and sea in the distance. It is fairly quiet at this hotel which was perfect for me. The pool has no noisy animation which again was great for me. The dining area is alfresco with nice relaxing music playing. I thought the food was great with lots of variety each day. There is a nice beach a short walk away where you can rent beds in peak season. It is worth to note in early may this facility wasn't open but it was nice to relax on a towel anyway. Irene and Kristina on reception were always happy to help. The staff here are what makes this place stand out. They have a spa offering trea**ents and a sauna. At an extra cost but not bad prices. Magdalena gave the best facial. The wifi was good and the decor of the room nice and bright. A short walk away is a bus stop to the capital Argostoli which is really easy to do and well worth it. Not much nightlife around the hotel but this did not bother me at all as I enjoyed the peace and quiet. The staff at dinner and breakfast always had a smile. Elva, Filipo and Labros you guys are amazing at what you do. Lula my cleaner was adorable and kept my room spotless everyday. The cleanliness here is top notch. This hotel was perfect for a solo woman travelling alone. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kefalonia, you will have a lovely stay and most importantly will be treated like a valued guest by the incredible staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a wonderful stay, one of the best holidays ever.
