Alive Beach House

Nice hotel with restaurant right on the South end of Transito beach. Yoga, bar and surfboards and an outdoor sitting area in the second floor.

We were immediately and efficiently welcomed on arrival. The beach is clean with consistent surf. The rooms looked directly upon the beach and the surf and excellent little porches from which we watched the Great Kiskadee making and defending their nest in the coconut palm. Food was excellent and reasonable. The other guests were relaxed and friendly, many were native German speakers. The beds were comfortable, and the surroundings were secure. We will return. The Alive Beach House is a hidden gem! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Stunning views and access to the beach, great food and drinks at the property, and a comfortable and clean atmosphere. Zero concerns! Research your route if it's raining. One of the routes that GoogleMaps takes you is through a dirt road that's a little rough. Thankfully, it was not raining when we drove this road but had it been we may have been driving through a lot of mud and it may not have been ideal for our small rental car.

Alive Beach House is a cute small hotel with a great location. The personnel is great, very friendly and helpful. Overall, our stay was good; however, there are aspects that probably need improvement. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with great views. The hotel does not provide beach towels, which seems a bit odd since it is a beach hotel. Although the beach side probably does not belong to the property, it would be good if they kept it cleaner of debris so guests could enjoy it more. The pool is nice and a great place to see the sunset. But there are no places were to seat and relax by the pool. Some long chairs would be great! Breakfast is included but there aren't a lot of choices and portions are small. Food in general is average and maybe a bit overpriced. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of local/Nicaraguan choices in the menu, which would be nice to try as a tourist.

The staff is amazing: very friendly and willing to accommodate any requests. Rooms are clean and towels for all different needs. We got view on the beach with a nice balcony. In the room there was also hammock. Private Bathroom with little window , hot water and provided with showergel, shampoo and soap. Outside there’s a patio where you can pratice yoga (not included), different area to relax with either hammock or normal long chairs. The beach is literally 3 meter from the garden. Perfect spot for surf lovers. Food: breakfast is included with a quite wide menu. You have omelette, french toast, pancakes, fruits bowl with yogurt and granola. Lunch and dinner are not included: the menu is the same for both meals and it’s mainly fishetarian. No meat at all. All dishes we tried were cooked carefully and with lot of flavor.

The road from Managua to El Transito was rough, especially when it's raining (we almost got stuck in some mud). However, once in El Transito and at the Alive Beach House, you've reached a little piece of paradise. The grounds of the beach house are stunning, it's a small garden right on the beach. There's a great tiny bar and restaurant with a great selection and quality of food and the beach is stunning! I recommend this place to anyone that loves hidden gems.
