Fantastic staff, lovely atmosphere, and international guests. Woderful stay. Will be back! Not cramped like other Edinburgh Hostals. Wonderful hot showers. Well equipped kitchen and a free breakfast. Unfortunately I was leaving at 5 am for work so missed this, however coffee was available and welcome!

Staff was not very accommodating to the guests staying there. Whenever there is an issue they will ignore it like it will go away or provide a temporary solution that is worse in the long term for guests. 2 of the showers were not working and it’s get really crowded plus it’s boys and girls restroom with only 2 showers and 2 toilets. When I showered the water was literally above my ankles at the end. It’s very hard to get breakfast because it’s so crowded. It seems that the staff doesn’t really care much at all. I would not stay here again.

I think they should be more clear about how small the dormitories are, they squeezed 3 triple bunk beds in a very small hot room, I never even stayed a night... although it was safe and secure and very low cost and central but not one if you are bothered by having lots of people in your room turning lights on all night etc.

The best hostel i have ever been in Edinburgh, great location we very helpful and friendly team, the kitchen is very good and accessible you will not need any thing to bring just you food to cock, the bed was very comfortable and clean room, however i would love to do it again

I loved my short stay at the Baxter. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were all I hoped for. Breakfast was a bonus. The close proximity to transport, especially to the airport was so convenient. I don't have any negatives from my stay.

Staff first class very very friendly hostel to stay .Breakfast included make your own . Tea coffee in abundance.rooms and bunks very comfortable. Shower and toilet facilities can be cramped .but early rise and your done . Would recommend highly .5 star treatment

The staff are the fluffiest. Welcoming, Warm and Friendly. The hostel is clean, well heated and comfortable. The 24 hour reception and free breakfast made my stay at the Baxter all the more satisfying. I will recommend to others and book again in the future. Thank you

This hostel is Wright in the hart off Edinburgh City Centre just opposite the train station It's a very homely hostel because of the staff . The night porter I was here was really friendly ( Graham) And getting a free breakfast in the morning before you head out fantastic

The place absolutely stunk and was very unclean. There was dirt all over one of the bedsheets, no key card so couldn’t access our room without asking someone, 2 x showers were out of order and they were also disgusting. I think this place needs a serious clean and also not to use photos of when the place first opened on the website!
