팔콘 크레스트 게스트하우스(Falcon Crest Guest House)

Exceptionally clean, newly renovated basic room with flat screen tv and towel warmer. On a quiet residential street that’s a 15 minute bus ride from the center of Edinburgh.

We stayed at this guest house to visit the Military Tattoo and Fringe in August. The couple who own it are so welcoming and friendly. They gave us lots of information on the area, bus routes etc. The hotel is a 30 min pleasant walk to the City centre, the last 10 mins is uphill but nothing too strenuous. There’s a bus stop at the top of the street with buses running regularly into the centre and it’s £2 each way so a great option. There is also a walking/cycle path right beside the guest house which goes off in various directions (Ferry Road Path) We walked the path for around 30 mins to Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith then took the tram into Edinburgh city centre, again £2. We had a lovely double room at the top of the guest house with the usual shower, tv, tea & coffee and lovely shortbread. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfy. We ordered breakfast for the following morning which consisted of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bacon, eggs,sausage, beans, rolls, toast. It was absolutely huge and beautiful, perfect eggs. I changed my portion to small for the following morning as it really was huge👍 All in all a lovely place with great friendly owners. A great option if you want to be just outside the city but on a great bus route. Will definitely return.

Absolute lovely stay! The most welcome host and hostess; very friendly, always in for a chat and tips. Very clean and tidy rooms, coffee, tea, fresh milk and shortbread always available. Parking space in the street and some on site. And very dogfriendly!

We stayed here in December and loved it. Everything was clean, tidy and fresh. The gots were warm and welcoming, and we were served breakfast in our room the next day (which i couldn't eat as i was too hungover and regret it everyday as it looked wonderful) Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

First time I've ever been to Scotland and Edinburgh was my first destination and so far my experience was such a positive one. The people who run it are extremely friendly very hospitable and helpful with tourist info.

We stayed for 2 nights , had two rooms .we had breakfast. And I didn't eat again until the evening. I was so full . It ticked the box's for us . Very nice owners. And they were more than happy too help with any questions we had ..... ****************************************

Room clean but very airless and hot. Breakfast excellent. No choice of breakfast times however i.e. When I asked what time breakfast was served I was told 8.30am. I asked for later and was offered 8.45am. Shower water pressure very poor but water hot and plenty of towels and toiletries

Ce petit hôtel est très agréable et très propre, situé dans un quartier charmant et bien relié au centre par de nombreux bus. Le petit déjeuner est gargantuesque tout est servi dans des petits pots en verre très écologique. Le couple qui tient la maison est très gentil.
