더 러틀랜드 호텔 셰필드(The Rutland Hotel)

The Rutland Hotel is conveniently located near to the University of Sheffield. Single rooms are not the best however double room are quite nice having a traditional feeling. However both kind of rooms are newly decorated so the rooms and bathrooms are quite nice. The breakfast is good as they prepare made to order eggs, hash browns,mushrooms and tomatos. Overall I like it and will plan to stay again.

The room is so small that I couldn't unfold my suitcase. The bath water was cold, freezing to have a cold. The bed is dirty and wilted ****s were found on the sheets. Don't come to stay.

Convenient and comfortable, though a little dated. The only downside was an inordinate number of stairs to negotiate with a heavy suitcase. Very friendly, helpful staff.

The hotel had recently undergone renovation work and was not cleaned properly. The aisles, but worse the rooms in that part were very dusty. We asked for a different room and were moved without hesitation from the staff who were friendly and attentive. Breakfast choices good.

The staff at the front desk is excellent. Very friendly during the check-in. She always smiles and tells me the location of the room. Feel happy to receive a Chris**as card from the staff. The cups and the electric kettle are clean. I feel safe when using them. Wifi connection is good and stable. There are three electrical sockets in front of the desk. I can charge my phone and laptop at the same time. However, there is still room for improvement. The room is not clean. There was rubbish under the table when I first entered the room. The bed is nice and comfortable. But the pillow is too flat. The soundproofing is poor. I can hear people living above me, including walking, talking and the sound from the television. It is extremely noisy. I have to wait for almost 2 mins until hot water comes out from the bathtub and water tab. There is no curtain in the bathroom, and water splashes everywhere. Overall, I think the room is not satisfactory. It does not worth 230 pounds for three nights.

Convenient for hospital appoin**ents and have stayed many times. Unfortunately the price appears to be increasing and with the cost of parking it is not brilliant value. There has also been a fast change of staff and therefore do not recognise you as a returning guest, meaning you don’t feel quite as welcomed. It was always the staff that made up for the hotel’s shortcomings.

Very friendly staff. It’s a bit of a maze to find room, up and down stairs, but very comfortable

The staff were friendly and courteous but the hotel itself was in need of a little TLC. Not a criticism just an observation.
