Hotel Eckartauerhof

Amazing stay in Mayrhofen - the hotel was great. All of the food was delicious, great bar with a beautiful terrace outside overlooking the valley and friendly staff who made us feel very at home. The spa/sauna was a great after a days skiing. Tip - The buses stop at 5.15 so make sure to get the last bus or use the taxis to get back!

Just finished a lovely week long ski trip! The real key highlights our the hotel team! Truly amazing, helpful and friendly! The breakfast was a great way to kick off the day with a wide variety. The dinner was typical Austrian food, though might need to reassess the translation of ‘burger’ haha But all in all, great food, and just what is needed after a long days skiing! Useful tip: Though it is walkable into town (30mins) be careful that all buses stop at 5:12pm.. so you’ll need to get a taxi if you want to aprei! We really enjoyed our time here!!

Stayed a week at this hotel half board, it did not dissapoint. Had an amazing time, we were half board- breakfast and dinner were lovely throughout our stay. Nice spa area with saunas and steam room. There are regular buses from right outside the hotel. Would definitely book again

Great hosts, good breakfast, dinner was nice, service always good, very clean, great heated ski room. Brilliant sauna and relaxation area. Very comfortable beds Ski bus every 10 minutes from hotel from 8.30am Only downside is that last ski bus back is 17.15 It’s 1.5 km walk to Mayerhofen, too far in ski boots but walkable in shoes

Just back from a week skiing. What a fab family run hotel. The food and cleanliness is fantastic. The breakfast was a wonderful selection and variety of breads, cereals, milks, juices, meats and cheeses, teas etc. Something for everyone. A delicious 5 course meal every night, with regional food represented. All very well cooked. You select your main course at breakfast (a choice out of 3 options). We enjoy good food - and this was great! The boot room worked really well. Dry boots every day and plenty of room for everyone’s equipment, in a well lit spacious room. We did walk into the town on our transfer day, which is fine in apres ski boots, as it is all on the flat and takes about 25 minutes. Route D ski bus stop is outside the hotel, which you have to catch to access either of the 2 Mayrhofen uplifts, or to get to the train station in order to enjoy some further extensive skiing along the valley. We used the train on 4 days. The bus is every 25 minutes, so make sure you don’t miss it. The staff really look after you and we’d happily return here for a winter or summer break.

Lovely family run hotel with nice staff and great hospitality. The food is delicious and in plentiful supply. The sauna area is a nice bonus too! There is a frequent busses going from just outside making it ideal for a ski/snowboard holiday. Would love to come back.

We stayed for 7 nights with a walking group here, surrounded by wonderful scenery. The hotel is outside Mayrhofen, with no shops or other restaurants nearby, but it is easy to get into the town by bus from the door or on the narrow-gauge railway from Bichl station, a short walk from the Hotel (Bichl is a request stop so remember to press the button on the platform or train to make sure the train stops there). Our room was comfortable, with a small balcony looking across the valley; the bathroom, while compact, was laid out very efficiently. The dinners were largely traditional Austrian food, but with changes each evening. the buffet breakfasts were also good. However, the packed lunches available were dull. The service in the hotel, with the family involved, was very pleasant, efficient and helpful

The hotel is a good choice for a ski vacation. The ski bus has station in front of hotel and the view from terrace is magic. The rooms are clean and the breakfast and dinner are very good. I traveled with my family and friends and we felt very good.

Our stay started very bad. A woman at the bar checked us in but we waited 1,5 hour to get the right room. She shake the head at us more time which made us feel uncomfortable at our stay. Very much a shame. Not before checkout we experienced a English speaking staff. Hotel and view is beautiful. And the food was good as well.
