르 시갈론 호텔(Hotel-Restaurant le Cigalon)

We were walking loop 2 of the Mullertal trail over 3 days and this hotel seemed to be in the ideal place. We arrived later than we expected and the hotel was a very welcome site as we emerged from the trees into the village. We had a very warm welcome from the owner You can book half-board, with a fixed menu for dinner, or eat in the bistro or off the menu in the gourmet restaurant. We did half-board and the food was excellent both nights, with the chef kindly taking account of my wife’s food allergies. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is also large with a good choice. Our room was quite large with a balcony overlooking the field behind the hotel: we got the sun in the evening. A very comfortable bed, although the bathroom could do with modernising. All in all an excellent place to stay and eat.

Good service, and great dinner. Close to the entrance of the walking route, highly recommended!

- Breakfast time was too late. It is better to start breakfast at 07:30 than at 08:30. - At dinner we had to wait 20 minutes before our order was taken. 2 people in the service who made a fuss about 1 table of 11 guests. They had no overview. - Towels were clean but clearly needed to be replaced (many frays) * Very friendly service and everything was clean.

Situated in beautiful Mullerthal close to the famous waterfall and in the middle of the forest this hotel is a very nice place to stay. The food is excellent and the rooms are good. The staff is very friendly and helpful, i'd love to go back here again.

Nice hotel with great food and excellent position to explore the entire country of Luxemburg

OK if your local. Terrible if your not. Host discriminated against us as we were not local. Breakfast is not a buffet. For us it was one piece of ham one piece of cheese, one peice of brie, one egg and 2 slices of tomato and cucumber with bread... BETWEEN 2! And the best of it a tea bag with no hot water. on asking for more food this was reluctantly given to us one more piece of ham 2 pieces of cheese 1 slice of tomato. yet all the locals were offered large plates of food. Very rude and discriminating. And if you want 2 glasses of water at breakfast thats an extra 6 euros, but they will only tell you that at checkout. Very disappointing and aggravating. the most angering stay i have had. furious. This hotel is the polar opposite of value for money.

Aangekomen na 7 uur wandelen in de regen wordt gemeld dat ze gesloten zijn. Alleen open voor eigen gasten ,terwijl ze over een uur open gaan voor iedereen. Zó ongastvrij!
