Wonderfully comfortable, bright and airy room. Large bathroom and very clean. Excellent breakfast (fresh fruit salad and lightly grilled full English) . Catherine and Howard are extremely pleasant and accommodating hosts and Catherine has most definitely kissed the Blarney Stone 😀

Such a wonderful B&B in a lovely area of Eastbourne, right by the sea! Our hosts were incredibly kind and attentive and the room and breakfast was beautiful! A few minutes walk to bars and nightlife if that's what you need, and around 10 mins to the shops and centre. Highly recommended and would love to return.

We stayed here for 2 nights, rooms 5 & 6. Our room (6) had great views of the sea. Very comfortable bed, nice Shower , and the room itself is very spacious. Breakfast was really nice, you need to preorder this , but thats no problem for us. Plenty of everything, and endless toast and coffee/tea. The hosts were lovely, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. All in all we had a great stay, and will definitely be back.

This is the second time we have stayed here since finding this gem last year. Excellent standard of cleanliness and superb breakfast in a great sea front location. Catherine and Howard are exceptional and friendly hosts. We look forward to visiting again!

This amazing B&B is in a prime location. The property is spotlessly clean, very quiet and the venueis superb. The hosts are out of this world, they are the most friendly couple we have ever met and go way above and beyond to assist you in anyway possible. Catherine and Howard are both informative and helpful with recommendations and infiormation on everything in the area. The breaksfast options are extensive and to die for and nothing is to much trouble. We have stayed here may times and it just gets better each time! Miss out in this gem and you have missed out on real treat. The best B&B we have ever stayed in. Would recommend to anyone.

It is fair to say that this must be at the very top of the many B&Bs at which we have stayed, over many, many years. From the moment I first chatted to Howard about our requirements (ground floor and walk in shower, due to minor mobility issues) to leaving this morning, everything was top notch. The room had a small balcony perfect for catching the late sun. There was a good size shower, quality towels and bedding, a small table and chairs. Breakfast had plenty of choice, cereals and cooked. The hosts, Howard and Catherine, recommended a local pub for dinner. A ten minute stroll. The Marine (see review) was very good, a wide range of dishes, so much so, we dined there every evening, and had a different dish every day. Bassets is in a great location. A mile from the railway station, with easy free parking, and just outside the parking zone. Being oldies we used the bus services to visit Hastings (bus stop a few yards from the B&B) and Brighton, needing just a simple change in town. We would highly recommend this competitively priced B&B

We stayed at Basetts during the bank holiday weekend. We were made to feel very welcome by Howard and Catherine the moment we stepped through the door. It felt like a home away from home and everything from the bed to the breakfast were perfect. We really didn't want to leave :) We are planning our next trip as we speak. We came to Eastbourne for a few days and again, stayed at Bassets house. Catherine and Howard’s aim is, to make their guests feel very home. When you choose this B&B you can be sure to get a very warm welcome, a delicious breakfast, a lovely room (they have different rooms, each one beautifully decorated) - everything for a nice time at the beach!
