Alice's Secret Travellers Inn

Fantastic! Quirky and fun, clean and friendly. Highly recommended, it’s better than most 2 and 3 star hotels in Alice Springs. We used it as a base for hiking the Larapinta Trail, both on the way out and the way back in. I hadn’t stayed in a hostel for decades, was a little apprehensive, but Alice’s Secret was A+.

We stayed in their tiny cabin at the back of the resort. It actually rained all day & we were exhausted after a 27 hour bus ride, so we just relaxed. BTW we are seniors. Absolutely loved it!!! Still talking about it a year later!!!

We stayed as a couple in the Betty Boo bus and also Levi's shed. The bed was definitely better in Levi's which was also worth the extra dollars as had a kitchenette and TV. We were able to leave some bags here while we were on a tour which was really helpful. You can hire a towel with $1 donated to the Kangaroo Sanctuary. There are laundry facilities and good hot showers. A cool place to hang out in the garden and swim in the pool. A 15 minute walk into the centre so easy to get around.

It ticks all the boxes for a successful hostel - well organised out of office hour check in and check out procedures, well equipped kitchen, relaxed communal areas including a very nice backyard, a book room and a TV room with too many movies to choose from. Most importantly, it has a character with the feel of Australian outback.

Very lovely hostel, tbh, the vibe kinda feels like home. Owner is very welcoming, helpful and flexible with everything. The room is cozy, pillows are very nice and comfy, i ve been staying in a lot of hostels in australia this is by far the best hostel i ve ever stayed in, doesnt feel like commercialised at all. Kitchen is very well equipped, free seasoning such as chilli pepper salt etc. The hostel is very peaceful and quiet so if you’re a party type of person who wanna get drunk party music all day long, this is not for you, otherwise, i would recommend this hostel for 100%. The only downside? I cant book more nights here!!!!! Lastly , I heard people complaining about seeing a mice. All i would say is if you’re so afraid of it, get yourself a 5 star hotel instead of a hostel, and australia, where wildlife is abundant, is probably not for you to visit!

The owner, Seb, is such a friendly and helpful man. He could make everything happen and had great thoughts and suggestions on most - always with a smile and a bit of humor! Alice's Secret is one of the cosiest places I've stayed at! A great outdoor are complete with some lights once the dark has taken over. Showers and toilets are nice and clean although there only is a few available. Beds are nice and rooms are good. Kitchen is well-equiped and large enough for many chefs at a time. Wifi could sometimes not be working at certain places. Highly recommend!

This hostel is definitely one of my favorites! It’s a small but cozy hostel with the best vibes, honestly felt like home here! Even though some of the people had been staying there for a longer time everyone was so nice and welcoming!

Lovely space. Friendly owners. Clean place and good kitchen facilities and a pool. Got to stay in a small but well air conned caravan and had access to facilities pre and post check in which made basing it around greyhound bus times really convenient. Would defiantly stay there again!
