It takes a bit to get there from the main island, but once you touch down, it's a 25 min ride from the airport. You will be welcomed in traditional style by staff. the resort does not look much like a traditional plantation, but rooms a large and have this great view of the pool, bay and volcano. food is good and plenty. massage service is also fine. internet is horrible, hang around the restaurant area to get any kind of decent connection. As most other places in PNG, Rapopo is much overpriced, but that is just the way it is. At the time of my visit, the on-site dive shop did not have a dive master, but the manager Leo quickly got a dive master from another shop, Martin, who was very knowledgeable and took me for two dives one near pigeon island and the other one in the bay. Good sized sharks (which he somehow called) and lovely corals. Visibility out of this world. Also, do not miss the dolphin snorkel, great technique, gets you right in with the pod (80+ animals). Beautiful animals and images.

Great customer service by the local staff especially Julie Nakamura. Definitely inviting atmosphere and friendly service. Our asigned customer relations officer, Julie was courteous, helpful and always had a smile on her face. Would definitely revisit the Rapopo resort again.

We were not staying at Rapopo but went for lunch. The staff there are genuinely happy to help in any way they can. They greet guests with a smile. There is a relaxed, casual atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable. The lunch was excellent. Rapopo has a beautiful spot, with a beautiful white sand beach. It is a pleasure to sit on the deck looking out towards the views of the sea & the distant mountains. Rapopo has a wonderful pool & an excellent spa.

Friendly staff and smiles. Happy to assist guests. The food was lovely and the rooms were quite comfortable. The restaurant catered well for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool was very nice and spacious for family relaxation. Nice outside chairs to warm up to the sun. The breathtaking view to the sea is unbelievable. A place to visit

We had a wonderful week staying at the Rapopo Plantation Resort. It all starts with a very warm welcome from Staff and continues. Daryl and Megan are the best hosts and their staff are friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and our room was huge and very comfortable thanks to Daryl. The resort grounds are beautiful as is the large pool. They have a good on-site spa and a dive shop. There is a courtesy bus service to town or the markets and a free courtesy airport pickup and drop-off service which is just unheard of in Papua New Guinea. Only a small detail would be to upgrade the pillows. This resort stands out from the others in the services they offer and the level of service that is provided. We cannot wait to visit again.

Got serenaded by the staff on Arrival and treated to a tasty coconut drink. Never felt so welcomed. I am beyond impressed. I can't wait to try out the menu tonight for dinner. I will be staying for two more nights and I am planning to check out the pool and the beach front.
