Ten year wedding vow renewal was made so memorable by the staff and wedding coordinator Rachel. Two night stay for ourselves along side some of our closest friends and family. 5 course meal was fantastic and we can't praise the chicken ceasar salad as a starter enough. Not a single complaint from our 40+ guests and I have to say they all raved about the food and service. Can't recommend the hotel, staff and facilities enough. Photographer raved about the phot ops in the grounds and we were blessed with sunshine lol

Booked one night bed and breakfast in order to attend a show. Very large, busy hotel. The staff were excellent, the food in the bar was very good, especially the salmon. The room was large and clean although a bit dated. There is a very busy road outisde so a tip would be to ask for a room at the back. Only downside, was a very long wait for a breakfast table.

We recently had our wedding at the carrickdale and theirs only one word for it amazing! From start to end Amy and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for us!! The food and the service were top notch. The rooms were fab. Anyone thinking of having their wedding at the carrickdale would not be disappointed. Massive thank you again to Amy and all the staff at the carrickdale for making our day as special as it could be!

Where do I start, we got married recently in the Bernish Suite of the Carrickdale and all we can say is Awesome. From our first meeting to checking out after our big day, everything was relaxed and easy going. Rachel was our co-ordinator and she could not have done anything more for us. This was re-validated for us by the large number of compliments we received the day after our wedding. From the food, to the staff and even the rooms. Everything was top class. We would recommend any couple looking for a special place to share a day that will last a life time to please reach out to Rachel and the team at the Carrickdale. It will be one of the best decisions of your life.

Lovely stay! The hotel and food was really nice and staff were lovely. I had mentioned that my guest was celebrating a birthday and there was a lovely card and choc covered strawberries waiting for us in the room which was a super nice extra touch. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

We went to a function in the Carrickdale Hotel. I was the designated driver. I was doing tonic water and it was served in a plastic beaker. All the alchol drinks came in glass. It was very humiliating to be treated like a toddler because I was being responsible and not drink driving. As a reputable hotel I would suggest investing in glasses, it might make patrons experience a bit more suitable to normal hotel standards

Staff were friendly and main meal was delicious but these are the only good points of a short stay. Leisure centre was grubby and needed a good clean. I have included a photo of the foot bath in the mens changing area which I was told is iodine but had no explanation for the debris that was in it. Breakfast was order only and no buffet which is disappointing. The quality of breakfast was poor it must have sat under hot lamps as it was dried out. Also, they had no pastries left at 9:30am and breakfast finished at 11 !! I was told this is common. I mentioned all of these issues to a manager and staff, I did get an apology but that’s all. The main meal was excellent, the steak was very good and desert just as good. I did however have to wait quite a while to order when seated. The room itself was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The view from the window was interesting, I have included a photo of this. Overall a slightly disappointing stay, would not stay here again.

1st class service, food was exceptional, staff so helpful especially Michelle who was looking after our wedding. Gardens were amazing for photos, highly recommend for any couple getting married. The place to go!!

Difficult to give constructive criticism here. The hotel is dated and tired. The room would have been fine if the bed was firm....but it wasn't and the electric kettle did not work. On the plus side the room had a small fridge with some bottled water. The en suite was spacious and clean. The Smithwicks at the bar was average at best. I had lasagne which was Ok but I suggest a smaller portion with cold coleslaw (mine was room temp) and livelier greens would leave margin for the hotel and a more satisfied customer......I ate half of the food. All staff I met were friendly and helpful.....no complaints on this front.
