Best breakfast ever! Hotel staff helpful and wecoming. Arranged for taxi when checking out. Perfect location: quiet, attractive neighborhood but close to Grand Canal Docks as well as shops and restaurants in town. A very nice restaurant and pub on site where we had dinner every night

Beautiful old building turned into a lovely inn. Very clean and well maintained. Outstanding friendly service and a fantastic breakfast. Great location, too, as it's close enough to walk to the interesting spots but far enough for a peaceful stay.

Excellent hotel - friendly, helpful staff; comfortable rooms and beds; welcoming common spaces, including breakfast room and bar. Quiet part of town, next to walking path along canal, but easy walk to center and sights - and the hotel itself has interesting architecture and history.

My wife and I have just spent a few days at the Schoolhouse. The room has plenty of space and the housekeeping team do an excellent job. Despite the hotel being on a main road, it’s very peaceful at night. All meals we had there were spot on, and it’s just a short walk to the cafes, restaurants and shops. There’s also free parking. Great find!

The beds are huge, bedrooms spacious with a patio and the staff are very friendly. By far the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The decor is absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was very tasty. We also had a trip to the restaurant and the food there was beyond expectations

At the front desk, Marian is one of the most helpful people I have ever met! She is a treasure, and I would stay here based on the excellent service she provided. As she was helping me, several guests commented on how fantastic she was, and one called her a star. She is a true gem!

Very enjoyable stay in this boutique hotel. Hotel parking was convenient and we were able to walk to Theatre, Trinity College and other city amenities easily. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast the following morning. Staff helpful and friendly. Would recommend to couples taking a city break in Dublin.

Stayed two nights here December 2023. Absolutely perfect. The decor is fantastic. Not one item out of place. The rooms were spotless. The beds sooooo comfortable. The staff bright and interested. Breakfast was good but the scrambled eggs were excellent. A 10/10 stay.

Much improved CHICKEN EN CROUTE was beautiful done and very well presented the carrots and vegetables were amazing 6 ROCK OYSTERS tasted like they were just out of the water so fresh could of maybe done with 2 slices of bread the bread was delicious BRISKET & CHUCK BEEF BURGER & CHIPS where little over done when asked for medium rare bit over done on the char grill Size was amazing chips was very tasty The Risotto special was amazing It was a big table around 10 of us and most importantly the waitress was great handled the table well would check to see if we had enough drinks etc and she wasn’t over too much just nice enough to let you enjoy your food and check to see if drinks was needed I’ve been to the old school house on a few occasions.. The last time we were there as a family the food wasn’t great or the portion sizes for the price This visit was completely different the food was much improved and portions sizes were good . The waitress a Spanish girl was so polite and asked us to bare with her if we didn’t understand her English But even with some mixed communication it became a bit of banter and she’s was great she explained everything very well only a few where messing with her and she was great taken the little hearted jokes
