We ecently stayed at Courtyard Miami Airport West/Doral, and it turned out to be a series of frustrating and disappointing experiences, starting from the online check-in to the breakfast service. The initial trouble began with the online check-in process. The link provided by the hotel simply didn't work, negating the convenience this feature usually offers. This issue set a precedent for what was to come. Upon arriving at Miami Airport, we expected a smooth courtesy coach service for our transfer to the hotel. Contrarily, it required several follow-up calls and the coach arrived significantly late, especially inconvenient given our midnight arrival. One would expect better coordination and timeliness for airport transfers, a basic service by a hotel in a major city like Miami. Adding to our woes, upon reaching the hotel, the staff seemed utterly unaware of our booking. Despite having a confirmation from *******, the hotel couldn't recognize our reservation. The confusion and lack of communication between the hotel and ******* were not only inconvenient but also left us feeling stranded in the middle of the night.
The next morning, the breakfast experience further contributed to our disappointment. With only one or two staff members serving made-to-order breakfast, the service was extremely slow. Considering the high room rates and additional charges for breakfast, this was unacceptable. The breakfast options were not only limited but also lacked the variety one would expect.
