We stayed at the Afon at the beginning of March and had a lovely time. We stayed in the garden room which was lovely. The room was a little on the small side. But it was perfect for our two night stay, as we were out during the day sightseeing. The room had everything we needed ie the most comfortable bed, wardrobe, dressing table, TV, hairdryer and a lovely modern bathroom. It also had a lovely patio with garden furniture. Ideal for relaxing warm days. Gina and Gareth were the most attentive hosts. Very friendly and made sure we were ok and had everything we needed. They were nice enough to chat a little in their hectic schedules to get to know us. Our friends joined us for the two days and Gina and Gareth were kind enough to set up the concervatory for the four of us to have breakfast together. I would definitely recommend Afon Rhaidadr if you’re wishing to explore Snowdonia. Thank you Gina and Gareth. You’re doing a fantastic job

The bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept in and the quilt was the most luxurious quilt and the pillows were so fluffy. If I’d wanted a weekend in bed this would have been perfect. Our room was lovely and very clean and it had everything in it that we needed. The spa bath was an added bonus which was great. The breakfast each morning was delicious and we had plenty to choose from. Gina and Gareth were lovely hosts, very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very knowledgeable about all the surrounding areas and where to go and what to do. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone it’s a beautiful place to stay and we will definitely come back.

Beautiful house and room was fantastic with jacuzzi bath, lovely helpful owners who gave us tips on great places to walk, great breakfast, secure bike storage and extremely responsive to questions. We highly recommend and we will be back!

Right from the off we were greeted by Gareth and he was he was enthusiastic and full of enthusiasm for our stay. He explained the room, breakfast process and also recommended certain walking routes for the Saturday. The room was set out with lovely decor and overlooking the gardens and woodland views. Gina was our host for breakfast and we could want for anything more on both mornings. Both hots were full of stories about the local community and always happy to help A really lovely addition was the downstairs lounge where you could sit and relax after a days walking in the hills. I would definitely recommend and we would stay again.

Were welcomed at the door by Gareth, we stayed in the Foxglove room for 2 nights before returning home as part of our 50th wedding anniversary trip, when I got in the room the only thing I could say was WOW, I have stayed in many hotels, never have I seen one so well decorated, a mix of old and new furniture that went well with the overall decor of the room, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, the quilt cover was gorgeous as were the cushions on the bed, it was a pleasure to wake up and just look at the room. Gina stopped to talk to all the guests at breakfast, I booked the room as it had a spa bath, but my other half prefers a shower, so will book a room with a shower next time we are in the area.

A beautiful place to stay and relax. We were impressed and delighted to find our stay more than exceeded our expectations. A lovely warm welcome, great accommodation, and delicious food cooked by Gina and Gareth. Highly recommended. We shall definitely be returning.
