This property is a scam!!!They are thieves!! Do not stay here. We made a booking and on the day of arrival, they said they were fully booked and left us stranded. THEY ALSO REFUSED TO REFUND US!!! DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!! IT IS NOT LEGIT!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

The customer treatment that we received from the Lodge was unacceptable. Be careful when you make a booking, because it says that there is a free cancellation policy to up to 24 hours before your check-in but its a lie, they just want you to put your credit card in so that then they charge you for the WHOLE stay that you had planned even if you don't go and you try to cancel five days before. The policy will change the minute that you put in your credit card. They charged us for three days when we didn't even go and for five days we tried to have help from booking AND the lodge and they were just making excuses to charge us the whole price. The Lodge was not helpful at all and we tried for a week to talk to a manager and someone in charge and they just avoided our calls and emails. So if you reserve for this Lodge you have to know that when they say there is a Free cancellation it's a complete LIE and they will charge you for everything and they will not be helpful at all, the policy will change as soon as you write your credit card. So be sure you are going there 100%. Not nice and not good customer care from booking or the Lodge.

Spoiler alert: no worth a single coin, sleepless night due to heat and misleading information. My boyfriend and I booked two nights in this « lodge », through ***********. We were especially seduced b the nice pictures and the « beachfront » claim. Turns out it’s not beachfront at all. The place is located at the end of a tiny street with no beach view and you need to walk like 5 minutes to reach the beach. I said that to the manager when we arrived, he looked surprise and told me « sorry for this, we’re going to change this ». Second surprise, the bathroom and the toilet were shared. It is written somewhere when you book but you have to read reeeeeally carefully to figure that out, and I’m pretty sure this is intentional. You can check the reviews on booking and you will see that are lot of people are complaining about this. The owner should definitely make it clear on ***********. About our « stay »: we were allowed to checkin early (about 10am), which is nice. Also, the managers were really kind, and this has to be highlighted because this is the only really positive thing I have to say. There is only one shared toilet and one shared shower, but cleanliness is ok(ish). The room was a complete disaster: only one socket very far from the bed, an old tiny useless fan far from the bed as well, a metal roof, a tiny window open on the common area and next to the tv (everyone is basically watching inside your room so you have to keep the curtains closed). Result: warm as hell during the night. Of course Diani is a hot place and we know this. But I think a bit of a brain can improve the « oven effect » and allows the guests to have some decent sleep. Also, because no one cared about putting some grass roof or anything that would absorb heat/noise, you feel like your room is being bombed when monkeys jump on the roof. Again, I know this is the habitat of the monkeys and of course I don’t expect them to be chased away. I just think some small things can be put in place to offer more comfort to your guests, especially when everyone seems to be complaining about that. Instead, the owner is rude (see conversation exchanged and screenshot). In the end, we left the place after the first night, leaving our money behind, because this place is terrible and worth not waisting any precious time. Make yourself a favour and book a better place, run by someone who has a better behaviour.

Their listing is misleading and claim they are beach front! It’s a scam to take your money. On top of that they won’t tell you that their rooms have shared bathrooms until you arrive. As if that’s not enough, they their rooms are not well ventilated and it’s blazing hot in there. I understand they have no control of the temperature but these people have a fan very far from the bed and it’s immovable ie fixed on the wall. You will have a sleepless night because of heat and in the morning if you try to sleep the monkeys will be noisy and jumping on the iron roofs so still no sleep. They should put a grass roof or ceramic knowing they are in a place with many monkeys. It’s a home for them so it’s not the fault of the monkeys to move freely The owner is so rude and when you try to tell him what went wrong and defensive My advice to them : 1. Stop misleading people that you’re beach from! It’s unfair and scamming people. 2. Ventilate your rooms to allow more air to come in the rooms and have a fan near the beds. 3. State it clearly on *********** that the bathroom are shared. 4 . Don’t be rude to your clients when they try to tell you something that would improve the overall experience of the property
