Our stay at Hotel River Front was a mixed experience with notable highs and lows. Starting with the positives, the service at the hotel was good. The staff were friendly and made an effort to ensure our comfort. The amenities provided were also satisfactory, contributing to a generally comfortable stay despite some of the hotel's shortcomings. One of the highlights of our visit was the safari tour arranged by the hotel. It was a fantastic experience, but we learned a valuable lesson: booking a full-day tour might not be the best option. The tour started with a 4 am pickup, and by midday, we were exhausted. A half-day tour ending around noon would have been more than sufficient and could have saved us quite a bit of money. This advice would have been appreciated beforehand. However, there were several areas where the hotel could improve. The food was average at best, lacking the flavors and variety we had hoped for. Additionally, an older gentleman was frequently seen roaming the premises with his big belly exposed, and he had an unpleasant habit of spitting on the floor, which was quite off-putting. The bathroom in our room was terrible, with outdated fixtures and cleanliness issues that needed urgent attention. While the pool was small, it was adequate for a quick dip and relaxation. The ”River View” advertised by the hotel was rather misleading, as it turned out to be more of a muddy stream than a picturesque river. In summary, Hotel River Front offers good service and a well-organized safari tour, but there are significant areas that need improvement. With a focus on upgrading the food quality, bathroom facilities, and providing accurate descriptions of the views, the hotel could enhance the overall guest experience.
