The view of the honeymoon suite is sooooooo good! Antje, the owner is very patient and helpful with all my queries. Breakfast and even snacks are so nicely plated and I felt like I am having high tea at a hotel! I wish I can stay longer the next time and really hope to visit again! Would highly recommend any travellers who would like to have a quiet stay by the sea!

So glad to be back after a number of years, bringing a new guest with us, and happy to see all is still as wonderful as it was. The breakfasts are even better (if that is possible) with all the breads home made and delicious eggs as well. We stayed in the honeymoon suite - magnificent, and our guest was more than happy with her beautiful (blue) room The honesty bar is full of great local wines, to b enjoyed with the wonderful views from the deck (where we saw Brydes whales spouting) and fabulous sunsets We enjoyed a platter one night (excellent) and ate at Kloeks @ home the second night (huge portions) and had a fabulous day wine tasting in the Overberg, coming back to this haven. Fantastic little place with a cozy atmosphere, direct beach view and very friendly hosts. Antje makes you feel like home. The breakfast is superb and she also makes some cold cuts for dinner on demand that are very tasty. It was our first trip to South Africa and e started there. We loved the place and will likely come back.

When I arrived at Whalesong after a long journey I walked in, landed on the balcony, was handed a pair of binoculars and saw my first ever Whale. This lodge is in an exceptional location and had all the finishing touches you could ever wish for; chocolates by your bedside, coffee is presented when you telepathically communicate you want some, the best platform for viewing whales in this area (literally). At Whalesong you also get a true taste of the ethos of South Africa with respect to community. The staff are like a family and the host is always around to help with everything/to generally chat about life. The decor is top notch and the soap/hand lotion is to die for. We stayed in a double room which had its own balcony, I can imagine the suite would be fabulous for a special occasion.

We stayed in this beautiful lodge just for one night during our whistle-stop family tour of SA. It is located on the edge of the bay with incredible views. The lounge and breakfast area overlook the bay – a fireplace divides the space, making it very cosy. A help-yourself-loyalty-bar was a nice feature which added a home-from-home vibe. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. We had the Honeymoon suite which had great uninterrupted views and our kids had a standard room, which was equally beautiful and well thought out. The hosts, Antje and Gary, were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to share lots of local knowledge with us. There was a wonderful selection for breakfast – including homemade jams and granola, which was a lovely touch. We were made to feel very much at home here.

A very nice lodge, perfectly located with views of the bay and the whales. Antje and her entire team as perfect hosts, all extremely helpful and friendly. Great breakfast buffet, beautiful and large rooms with a wonderful view terrace and welcoming living room. We felt so comfortable - ideal start for our South Africa vacation. We will definitely come back again sometime.
