클라인지 오션프론트 게스트하우스(Kleinzee Oceanfront Guesthouse)

We absolutely loved the room and comfort of our balcony where we were served breakfast with the most stunning views, birds to watch and lovely sunsets. Marika and the other girls were wonderfully attentive and helpful but were hampered by being unable to obtain supplies if they ran out. There was no ordinary breakfast tea. ( A must for English who do not like Roobos ) As we were there 5 nights Marika eventually managed to borrow some for us but not for the room. No semi milk and the yoghurt ran out one morning. Bakery items on the menu not available. Owner involvement could have rectified these *******. One day without warning workmen were working on the room below with banging and drilling for hours. It took us an hour to find the property. The area is very confusing to navigate without SatNav. Detailed directions would have been helpful. With a little more attention to detail, we would have given 5 stars.

The room I booked had the ocean view and I loved starting and ending my day at the balcony . The room was overall a good package, had a sunken European bathtub which I loved . I just don’t like the fact that you have to go over to the staff room to ask for help and the last morning the water was cold until 7:30 and I asked to be served my breakfast at 8:00. They should improve the menu for the breakfast as well, otherwise the place is spectacular

The hotel is located in a very quiet area. From the room there are great views of the entire coast, and we could even watch several whales. The personnel was very helpful they made us feel art home and showed us the whales. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated, in short an ideal place to rest, enjoy nature and take boat trips.

Very nice guesthouse, lovely helpful friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast served at the private balcony. Very nice view of the ocean. The guesthouse is in the first row to the sea 😀 we enjoyed so much our stay

This was our 4th time at Kleinzee and again we very much enjoyed our time .: the views of the Bay are spectacular and it’s a great place to watch Whales ( of which there were many!) swimming gently past our balcony! The room Is perfect, bed comfortable and Monica & her staff made us feel very welcome .. breakfasts were delicious too!.. we will most definitely return

We only stayed one night but what a stay. WhatsApp messages ensured we had a warm welcome, and a lovely breakfast prepared to our liking the following morning. The room was great, with a very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Everything was clean. One, very, minor issue was that it wasn't easy to make a cup of coffee as the water heater was a large tank which would have taken ages to heat up, a kettle would have been appreciated. However, the major plus of the hotel, and it's a big one, is the view. As soon as we had dropped our bags and looked out the window we could see Whales and close up to the shore line. There were mothers with calves close by and further out we could see them breaching, fan slapping and tail fluking. It certainly made our stay a very memorable one.

Our hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location of the property is amazing and impressive.

The place is just stunning! Room neat & clean… and just looks like heaven. The views are INCREDIBLE. I had such an amazing stay 💯. Monica is a GEM… she runs the guesthouse with so much attention, as if it was her own. Literally incredible the passion and it shows and came out in every minute of my stay.

Great place to stay. The rooms are very nice and clean, the views are exceptional for whale watching during the season for whale watching. The food was great, and the fireplace during the evening hours makes you feel at home. If you go during whale watching season you may find it hard to eat breakfast, for the whales are literally right out the window, and you are constantly looking out watching the whales. The staff was a pleasure to deal with and went out of their way to assist us . Would I stay here again, absolutely. Hint, try to book a upstairs room with balcony. Now even though the address is Gansbaai, it is located just a short drive from Gansbaai in De Kilders which is between Hermanus and Gansbaai.. Also, there are some great restaurants' in Gansbaai for dinner dining, and just a short drive from Kleinzee Guest House.
