Travelodge Darlington

The hotel is well situated for local amenities, the town centre and further afield. The room we occupied had been refurbished and,, in particular, the bathroom was of a higher standard than other Travelodges we have stayed in recently. Car parking is plentiful and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is good value for money.

Fabulous service. Easy check in and even when I forgot my phone charger and Maureen went out of her way to help me, lending me one! It was so helpful when I was tired and weary. Also pointed me in the direction of a local corner shop to grab some stuff late in a bank holiday evening.

Stayed as we were travelling through to go to a wedding. The lady who greeted us was very friendly. I think her name was Kezz? Even came out of rec to show us the key. They had decorated for Easter which our son liked. Free parking was great as lots of spaces. We appreciated very much the email that the hotel sent to us ref the postcode before our arrival. We had used the postcode off the website in the directions section (maybe the website could be updated in the directions section?) I had called Thurs morning to confirm the booking and the lady wasn't friendly and told me ill call you back I'm with another customer. I gave her my name but she never asked for my number and never called me back. Would have given a 4 dot but the lady who checked us in Thurs made it up. Room was very clean thankyou to housekeeping. We saw a younger lady in the corridor when we were checking out Fri morning. She smiled as we left too which was nice that she didnt ignore us. Would return if in the area

Great hotel for quick overnight stay! Used this to stop off overnight to split a long journey and found it perfect! Only a short drive off the A1 which was great Although the hotel has no internal restaurant and bar there are plenty of amenities to cater for everyone within a mile or so, including a supermarket 👌🏻 The two staff members who we dealt with were very welcoming and friendly 👏🏻

Always friendly welcome. Bedroom light on, curtains closed and heating on. A warm welcome to room. Always clean with an open aspect and close to Morrisons,Range & Dunelm etc. Direct straight road back into the town

Stayed here for 2 nights Michelle checked us in. Lovely person and very helpful was nice and quite and comfy bed. we always come here when visiting family. Staff are all lovely. Next time we will get a family room though so we have more space. Plenty of car parking space and free

We booked this Hotel for the Cleethorpes Band. In fairness, we must have been a pain.....we even got on our own nerves!....altering numbers and types of rooms....asking about places nearby for 36 breakfasts...parking for a coach etc. We were dealt with by "Kirsty", who, despite several phone calls, was absolutely fantastic throughout, never letting on that we must have seemed a bit "thick"!! Everything went so well, from this booking process right through to departure...fabulous service...well done and thank you.

absolutely faultless! cleanest hotel i’ve stayed in, even down to the nitty gritty like window ledge just spotless. my partner and i actually ended up here as a plan B as we had booked an apartment near the centre but unfortunately it was beyond disgusting and we just couldn’t stay there. honestly the immediate relief we felt when we arrived and were greeted by the lovely michelle and checked in to our safe, cosy room i just can’t explain. michelle is a credit to the hotel, every time we saw her she was always busy cleaning etc. but every time made effort to stop and acknowledge us and have a chat. she continuously asked us if we were okay and if we needed anything which knowing the bad experience we’d just had meant a lot. we can’t fault her so thank you michelle! absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, perfect location and exceeds expectations. the 2nd best chippy in the uk 2024 is just round the corner which was a bonus!
