The best service by the staff . Rooms are excellent. The property is well designed and with lot of activity . The food is also very very good and hygienic . The restaurant staffs are very very cooperative and polite . The breakfast spread was excellent

I am reaching out to share my recent stay at The Taj Chia Kutir Resort and Spa in Darjeeling. Being returning guests, my friend and I had high hopes based on our previous experience. A month prior to our visit, I had requested a room on a higher floor with a king-sized bed. Aditya had assured me that my request would be accommodated. However, upon arrival, we were assigned room 615 on the 6th floor of the second wing. While the balcony offered a view of the mountains and some open space, it did not match the stunning view from Wing 1. After settling in, I contacted reception to express my disappointment. Despite their efforts to persuade me that the room was special, I insisted on speaking with Aditya. He suggested I speak with Mr. Anil Gautam, who was able to assist me. Thanks to Mr. Anil Gautam, I was relocated to room 505. The highlight of the property is the view and the cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and in the evenings, we relished the live music with a mocktail at the Glass Bar. Miss Mona and Mr. Kaustav went above and beyond whenever we ordered food. The flutist who performed in the afternoons added to the charm of my experience. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Kaustav, Miss Mona, Sinonara, Suverna, Bhumika, Meghna, Maya, and Dipti from the kitchen team for their outstanding hospitality. Lastly, I believe my check-out process could have been more streamlined.

However, upon arrival, we were assigned room 615 on the 6th floor of the second wing. While the balcony offered a view of the mountains and some barren lands, it did not provide the exact or breathtaking view that Wing 1 offers. Upon settling into the room, I immediately contacted the reception to express my dissatisfaction. They tried to convince me that the room was special, but I insisted on speaking with Aditya. He suggested reaching out to Mr. Anil Gautam, who was able to assist me. Thanks to Anil, I was relocated to room 505 in Wing 1, which offered the magnificent view I had been expecting. Unfortunately, my check-out experience on April 25, 2024, was far from satisfactory. After breakfast, I started feeling feverish and requested a slightly later check-out time. Having been a loyal guest of the Taj for the past 15 years, I was aware of their flexibility in such situations. However, this time, things did not go as expected. A staff member named Khusi began calling me persistently, displaying unprofessional behavior. Without my consent, she sent a bellboy to my door, who incessantly knocked while I was in the washroom. When I finally answered the call, Khusi's demeanor was strange and unprofessional, insisting that I vacate the room immediately. This incident raises concerns about Khusi's previous association with IHCL before joining Chia Kutir. Does she understand how to treat returning and loyal guests of IHCL? Furthermore, why does she continuously call when a guest is unwell? I hope this feedback helps in improving the overall guest experience at The Taj Chia Kutir Resort and Spa. I want to thank Mr Kaustav, Miss Mona, Sinonara, Suverna, Bhumika, Meghna, Maya & Dipti from the whole kitchen team for their impeccable hospitality!

Good people, good property, poor food. Average 4 star hotels have better taste and spread. The MD of the group, Mr. Chhatwal was there at the time, but I did not provide the feedback directly as I didn’t want to spoil the situation while he was with some high profile guests. They try, but they don’t know how to prepare tasty food, and don’t have the spread.

We will cherish memories of our happy stay at Taj Chia Kutir, Darjeeling. Our stay was made very comfortable by faultless service of all of your cordial, polite, courteous and amiable staff 24x7 ! The food was excellent. Innovative high-tea at Chia Adda and Musical Evening at the Bar were added bonus ! We look forward to our stay there again.

Excellent hotel. Away from everything so it’s a self contained property. Hilly slopes all around so be ready to walk between the room and the restaurant or take the hotel car every time you need to go back and forth. Food quality was a let down though.

Fantastic! We were looking for a weekend getaway but the property was far beyond our expectations! A beautiful resort with great staff who took care of us from airport onwards. The hotel is only an hour away from Bagdogra airport. The mountain view rooms probide a beautiful view. SPA facilities are superb. Breakfast and high tea are really great. However, a little more variety in dining menu will elevate this hotel to 7 star status.

We were very pleased to spend 4 nights at the resort. We wanted peace, quietude, relaxation and comfort, all of which we received in abundance. All our food preferences were ably addressed and take care of by Chef Pankaj N, ***agers and Staff Prerna, Dipti, Suveena, and all others, whose names I miss. Swimming pool attendants were also very helpful and alert. Front desk Milu was ever helpful. J wellness Pui gave an excellent relaxing massage. Overall memorable and unforgettable experience.

The location of the property is very good if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Far from the crowd and in the midst of tea gardens. Lokesh made our check in smooth. We had an enjoyable time at Chia Kutir. We were given a room on the upper floor with an excellent view of the valley and sunrise. Anil the Front Office ***ager was delightful company and provided us with lots of insight on local issues.
