This hotel use to be a Marriott - so it has good bones. It is spacious, and convenient to shopping. However, it is not well maintained. The sofa was badly frayed and the springs were shot. The bathroom contained stains though it was cleaned. All of this made it feel shabby and dated. Yet the furniture was well made. Sadly, the chain has gone ala carte. You pay extra for everything - even morning coffee (over $4.00 a cup). $10.00 extra, according to the e-mail I received prior to our visit, for a microwave in room. At the Chris**as season, this felt a bit like scrooge. I will say all staff was friendly, though our interactions were minimal. The restaurant in the hotel was closed because of low occupancy. With sprucing up, this would be a lovely hotel. And a few gifts to the patrons - like free morning coffee in the lobby as you head out, would win more friends.
