그랜드 칼룬다와 워터프런트 리조트(Grand Kalundawa - Dambulla's Hidden Secret)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Grand Kalundewa and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and ensured that my stay was nothing short of exceptional.

Wonderful Place.. So relaxing with the river flowing just besides it. Pool, garden and rooms well kept and nice. Friendly staff, special thanks to the manager 👍 Worth visiting for a relaxing holiday.

The relaxing environment where Grand Kalundawa Resort" is situated cannot be explained in words & it's amazing. The quiet surrounding very well maintained and "neat & tidy" caught my eye. The natural surroundings with the natural breeze comfort us. The "Sudu Gnga" water refreshed us. The boat ride gave us a good experience without any fear (precautions wearing life jackets). The courteous staff was always in the spirit to accommodate to any of our requests and the excellent service to all RIS staff. The food was delicious including the dessert. The breakfast was appetizing with a good combination of menu. The toilets were clean and all equipment was in working condition. Having experienced all of these at Grand Kalundawa Resort we do not hesitate to recommend anyone to this beautiful relaxing location with their family or friends. We stepped out of this location with utmost happiness & contentment. If time permits, I have a great desire to visit Grand Kalundawa Resort again with my family.

The highlight of my visit was the exhilarating kayak boat tour along the river. Exploring the serene waters while surrounded by stunning natural beauty was a truly unforgettable experience. The refreshing river bath also provided a perfect opportunity to unwind and connect with nature. The resort's amenities were excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the pool area. It was well-maintained, offering a relaxing atmosphere to soak up the sun and cool off with a refreshing dip. The air rifle activity added a fun and unique touch to my stay. If you're seeking a peaceful retreat with exciting outdoor activities, I highly recommend The Kalundawa Resort. It's the perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike.

Grand Kalundawa hotel is the one of best hotel in Dambulla.. excellent... I have stayed with my lovely staff for a get together and honestly I am so happy our markerting team found this place.. not only that but also they gave for us early check in...all with help of very nice, friendly and professional manager & staff, we felt special from the beginning to the end.. Beautiful garden near to a river. Surly can make you feel like you home. The room was lovely, super clean with most comfortable bed. I have ever slept on !! and OMG love they pillows ,😍 bathroom super clean. So we have a great day and a view.,🌃 Breakfast was superb, so happy with our stay that actually was said to leave.. Overall, i had best stay ever in Dambulla and definitely Will back there and I will recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for the everything.......

Wir waren nur zwei Nächte im Water Front und nur sehr wenige Gäste. Wir wurden ausgesprochen zuvorkommend betreut. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer direkt auf den Fluss und die Bäume war sehr schön. Man konnte die grossen Eichhörnchen und Affen beobachten. Die Betten waren bequem. Einzig das Badezimmer bräuchte dringend Flickarbeiten. Dies haben wir beim Manager auch so deponiert. In Anbetracht der harten Corona Zeit, fehlt vermutlich einfach grad das Geld. Diese Lücke machen aber die Umgebung und der freundliche Service wett. Leider fehlte die Zeit den Pool zu nutzen. Der war sauber geputzt und sehr ansprechend. Das Frühstück durften wir draussen auf einer kleinen Holzveranda über dem Fluss einnehmen. Das war toll. Zudem bekamen wir die leckersten Sri Lanka Omeletts mit Kokosnuss und Rohzucker gefüllt. Wir wünschten uns diese für unser Breakfast Paket nochmals und unser Wunsch wurde prompt erfüllt. Auch unser Guide bekam welche. Das war auch ein Highlight für ihn! :-) Für das Abendessen wurde für uns im Baumhaus aufgedeckt. Das war auch sehr gemütlich. Leider ist auch hier die Idee (oder Erfahrung???) entstanden, dass Europäer europäisches Essen wünschen. Nichtsdestotrotz: Das Hähnchen wurde mit einer sehr schmackhaften (nicht wie andernorts manchmal faden) Sauce gekocht. Und ehrlich gesagt, genossen wir auch die Pommes, weil wir in den letzten Tagen doch schon sehr oft Reis gegessen haben. :-)
