Our stay at Wild Grass Nature Resort in Sigiriya was simply outstanding. This luxurious hotel is one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. Our villa, with its stunning view overlooking the lake, was a thing of beauty, and it provided the ultimate relaxation. The food was truly exceptional, and the staff's service was impeccable. Manager Nimal went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, making us feel like royalty. We loved every aspect of this property and can't wait to return. There's absolutely nothing to complain about in this beautiful paradise.

Our two-night stay at the Wild Grass Nature Resort in Sigiriya was truly exceptional. This retreat is a paradise for nature lovers and enthusiasts. It is a place to find solace and calm, and to move a step closer to mother nature. Our 10-day Sri Lanka tour included a two-night stay at Wild Grass. We were 5 of us from Bangalore, India- My husband and I, my nine-year-old son and my in-laws. Nestled amidst a forest, our villa, with its expansive glass doors and walls, immersed us in the natural surroundings. The spacious rooms were not only comfortable but also meticulously designed. It's the attention to these minor details that made our experience exceptionally comfortable, like finding a pair of scissors right in the room when needed. Our group was diverse in age and dietary preferences, ranging from an energetic child to a senior citizen with mobility limitations, and from pure vegetarians to enthusiastic non-vegetarians. Wild Grass catered to all of our needs, ensuring everyone felt at ease. The breathtaking view from our room, accompanied by the symphony of nature's sounds during the night and morning, was simply magical. This resort offers the perfect setting to disconnect from our busy lives and unwind. The beautiful lake on the property can provide endless hours of serenity and contemplation. I regret not being able to find the time to just sit by the lake and contemplate. A significant part of our incredible experience was thanks to Nimal, the manager at Wild Grass, and his dedicated team, who worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort. The food was delightful, and the personal touch to the entire experience made it unforgettable. During our stay, we also had the opportunity to explore the Sigiriya Fort and the ruins of Polonnaruwa, further enhancing our Sri Lanka adventure. In retrospect, we wished we had extended our stay at the resort, as one could easily make an entire vacation out of Wild Grass alone. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Sri Lanka, with Wild Grass Nature Resort on our list to unwind once more in the future. A heartfelt thank you to Nimal and the entire Wild Grass team for providing us with this remarkable experience.

The 35 acre property has just 8 cabins. You get the feeling you are in the middle of a forest - with only the wildlife for company. You can see a lot of monkeys and birds just outside the glass sided room. Our room was large and comfortable. The service was genuinely warm, the staff always smiling and helpful. For a property with just a few rooms, the quality of breakfast and dinner was very good. The internet is limited, but that has to be expected when we are in the lap of nature.

When we arrived we were sat down in reception and then 3 members of staff just stood over us not saying a thing or showing us around which was all very awkward. Accommodation was quite nice apart from baby frogs in the toilet and sink. This hotel is supposed to be on a large nature reserve, and apart from the odd bird and frog we did not see one animal.

very special place, super confortable while deeply rooted in the jungle. the room is the BEST, you feel sleeping with the trees. alll was very resfull and beautifull. excellent service and quality. great smiles ss well and delicate kindness.

If you're looking for birdwatching, travel, nature, safari, history sighs and nature - this is your camp-ground number one! We had the most pleasant stay with the Wild Grass staff and premises. The tours which were organized helped us to lear more about the country and its old history. Within just several days we've conquered the heights of Sigiriya, were deep in the mud on safari jeep chasing elephant tracks, got enlightened by Buddhist monasteries and amazed by Polonnaruwa architecture. The staff of the hotel is nice and kind. They are always there to help. We had private kitchen event where we learned how to cook Sri Lankan curries - this experience was priceless, touching and bonded us greatly with all the staff. We also had a good deal on birdwatching and saw a lot of local species. The Resort is located right in the heart of everything you'd want to see in the central region, it right in the middle of the Mother Nature so you'd experience birds flying around, monkeys having their good time and other beautiful life-forms. Birdwatching: Nimal is a great knowledgeable bird-tracker and spotter. His good eye can spot almost any activity in the Sri Lankan forest. let it be small moves of well-hidden land monitor to graceful flight of a kingfisher - he would point your attention at the timely manner to these beautiful nature's details. Airport meeting, Tours: If you want to go anywhere or be drivel from/to airport - Wasantha is your guy (+94 77 210 4205)!!! Having a tour guide license, Wasantha can show you many things around including the Polonnaruwa region. Wasantha knows all good spots and will show you places to see based on your preference. We would like to thank all staff of Wild Grass for such a lovely and warm welcome!

My room - more accurately, my little building - was stunning, with three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows surrounded by native forest that parted for a water view just beyond. A family of monkeys living in the trees provided entertainment. Each of the hotel's 11 accommodations is, from what I understand, nestled in its own secluded setting - so secluded I never caught sight of another. The hotel staff is charming and endlessly obliging. The continental breakfast, served in room, is best in its class - lavish beyond my experience of breakfast in that category. Plus, there's wonderful entertainment provided by the monkeys who are well aware that breakfast is going on.

Beautiful lodge in the middle of nature. Original modern architecture with huge glass windows and large bedrooms from which you are surrounded by the forest. Impressive and extraordinary outdoor shower. The lodge is beautifully designed with charming alleys to the rooms which actually are independent houses. Beyond the beauty and comfort, the kindness and attention of the team were key elements that made us enjoy the place, including for breakfast and diner, when we were there during the troubled times of summer 2022. Thank you very much.

My family and I stayed here just 3 nights of our 3 week holiday to beautiful Sri Lanka. Wild grass nature resort was spectacular, everything from the rooms to the staff to the food. We felt so incredibly welcome here. The staff would walk with us to and from dinner, they were always very friendly and warm and nothing was ever too much to ask. When we arrived we got the choice between 2 utterly breathtaking houses both with amazing interiors and exteriors. One night, one of our family members wasn’t feeling well and Nimal and his wonderful team catered for us from the comfort of our own room. We thought it wouldn’t be too elaborate however, Nimal and the waitering staff brought over the entirety of the set menu which has around 5 courses then proceeded to set the exterior table up, like they normally would do over at the restaurant. They catered for us superbly as alway, we were beyond impressed by this! We also got the opportunity for a guided walk up a near by hill to watch the sunset, which made for a truly magical and special evening. The attention to detail that the staff at Wild grass have acquired is top notch and it made for the best stay I’ve probably ever experienced in a hotel.
