Premier Inn Durham City Centre (Walkergate)

Stayed 2 nights in a supposed twin room, which I think they upgraded us to a family room that had a bathtub :D location is 2 mins walk from the town hall with lots of resturant around & 10 mins from railway station. Very friendly staff who greets you every morning. Didn’t have breakfast included but the meal deal was pretty attractive (2 course meal + breakfast + drink for £24.99) so my friend and I decided to go for breakfast next morning (£9.90 for unlimited cooked + continental). Love the energy of the staffs :D

Amazing hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel room very clean and bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Hotel was very close to where I needed to be so perfect location. Breakfast was lovely buffet style, if I was to be picky would prefer to order city fresh.

Fantastic staff! Such a friendly welcome and great service throughout from all the staff in reception and restaurant, really made it a great stay. Excellent location and really nice hotel. Would definitely recommend, best premier inn we've stayed in.

Very good customer service with friendly and engaging staff. Bedroom was clean and comfortable all adding up to a comfortable and relaxing week. Just two observations: evening meal menu options could do with more variety. I was second in the queue for check-in at the desk and was offered the self serve which meant stepping out of the queue. A technical hitch with the new technology installed, meant I ended up at the back of an even longer queue at the desk!

Clean and basic room, and was exactly what I was needing for a one night stay in Durham. It was fairly inexpensive, and in a good position in terms of what I was looking to do in Durham.

Perfect place to stay in Durham . Location for station, restaurants & Cathedral perfect also. Very friendly staff, lovely bar area also outside seating . Very quiet at night parking payable next to Hotel. Different set up at the bar with offers on food & drinks very good.

Just returned from a one night stay. All staff very friendly and gave me a warm welcome. I had asked to be allocated a quiet room ( I’m a light sleeper) and they delivered. I didn’t t hear anything at all during the night and had a good sleep. Lounge area very comfortable. Breakfast good. Items at breakfast buffet were replenished as required. The good thing about Premier Inns is that you know exactly what to expect - they always deliver a good stay at reasonable prices. Standards alway seem to be well maintained.

Great base for exploring Durham. Everywhere walkable. Stag exceptionally helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Good wifi. No drawer or cupboard but manageable for a shortish stay.
