노스 클리프 호텔(The North Cliff Hotel)

We don’t go to many B&Bs as not interested in breakfast so prefer hotels but this was fantastic. Great location, very clean and comfortable. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was lovely. It has fabulous views and walking distance to restaurants and down to Lynmouth too. I definitely recommend and would stay again if in area.

This is the second time I have been to the North Cliff Hotel and both times we have organised it as a family event so had more than one room for 3 or so nights. Everything about our stay was just perfect. Both Steve and Rebecca are fantastic, they are friendly and go out of their way to make sure our stay is over and above what you would expect. The breakfast is amazing, showcasing some local produce. On our last night we had an evening meal in the hotel where our family party was sat on one long table (lovely surprise) and the food was excellent. Really couldn’t recommend these guys enough if you’re visiting the area. Linton now has a very special place in our hearts and we will not stay anywhere else.

North Cliff Hotel is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Lynton and Lynmouth, not only does it have spectacular views across the bay, but it is sitting above the vehicular railway, which is fantastic to see from that viewpoint. It's only a short walk to either Lynton or Lynmouths main streets, which are both lovely, and the valley of the rocks is on your doorstep. The team were lovely, breakfast and room were great, we hope to return soon!

Four of us were invited for late afternoon drinks by the owner Steve, and my wife enjoyed a tour of the hotel public areas and rooms, followed by drinks in the main room. The views are terrific and although we were only passing through the area, the hotel location is absolutely perfect and breakfast on the terrace would be a perfect start to your day!

If you’re old enough to remember British hotels in the sixties, this will seem like a blast from the past - in a nice way! Whilst a bit of refurbishment might be welcome, this is a lovely hotel with stunning sea views. The rooms are fine if a little rudimentary and the main concession to the 2020s in a decent Smart TV. Restaurant facilities are limited but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and mentioned in the hotel’s in room booklet. If you fancy a drink from the bar, this is available on an honesty basis and the prices are barely more than those in supermarkets. Roads nearby are very narrow and often extremely steep with hair raising hairpin bends - quite an adventure!

We had a wonderful stay and the owners Rebecca and Steve zogether with Annie are very friendly and helped us in every way. The food (breakfast and dinner) are freshly cooked and super delicious! We hab the appar**ent on the top floor which includes a private perch outside wirh a fantastic view. If you ever go to Lynton, I deeply recommend a stay at rhe North Cliff Hotel.

A wonderful place to stay at the end of the Two Moors Way. Very friendly and relaxed a**osphere. Excellent food. Comfy, well appointed rooms. Communal areas are well appointed with books, cards, cribbage board and other games.

My son and I stayed at the North Cliff hotel in August. We had the suite which has two bedrooms and the living area for us to work in. I have travelled all around the World and stayed in many hotels, most with excellent customer service. North Cliff however goes above and beyond the service that is expected. Steve and Rebecca don't just provide what is expected from a hotel, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and an excellent service in providing what you need to stay in a hotel comfortably. Steve and Rebecca are so very obviously passionate about their hotel to ensure that everyone who stays there are made to feel special. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them. They want to ensure that they can do anything in their power to make your stay more than a home from home. The a**osphere is incredibly relaxed and extremely homely. I travel in the UK with my bicycle as I ride every morning to watch the sunrise. Steve would be waiting for me in the morning with my bike outside having checked the tyres and pumped them up as I had a slow puncture. He then went out of his way to travel to St Clears to buy me a puncture kit and fixed my puncture for me. An absolutely very special place to stay. If you want to feel spoilt and cared for please go and stay with Steve and Rebecca and their incredibly polite son Josh.

Owners couldn’t be more helpful, our room was right at the top with a view of the funicular railway, room was clean, everything worked, and the morning breakfast was lovely. There was an honesty bar which we used, and a boundless selection of dvds to borrow to watch. Parking was a little tight, but we managed. All in all, very pleased we chose this hotel.
