H10 틴다야(H10 Tindaya)

On arriving at the hotel after 10pm we were offered the customary cold buffet but no drink. Anyway on to the room 151. We entered the room and the smell was like a swimming pool changing room (Damp/Foisty smell) the child bed they offered was like a prison bed and the room was filthy my socks went straight in the bin. My wife called reception to be told sleep there tonight and we will try to accommodate you elsewhere tomorrow… not a chance all cases and the 3 of us marched back through the hotel upto the 4th floor reception and I demanded another room and the bloke behind counter said the hotel was full. I told him if he didn’t find a room we would be sleeping in the lovely sofa in middle of the reception area until I could take a flight back home. He then like a magician found another room 126 that was lovely. The food was good but very little choice on the dessert front. The soft drinks were ALWAYS flat and tasteless. No water offered within your room and best of all check out at 12.00 they cut off your all inclusive !!! I told them we had paid for 6 nights all inclusive but had only had 5 all inclusive days so could we eat lunch before we left for the airport. The hotel refused but we ate anyway as we had paid for this pleasure. This hotel could be 100% better with just a few little changes ( water in your room) but the management seem content in taking peoples money and not really giving them what they have worked hard for all year round. I would love to come back here as the pools and beach and it’s location are amazing but I highly doubt I will return.

So many things are good about this hotel but it’s let down badly by lack of staff at the bars and dining room. Tables are not cleared which means that outside tables are rarely available. The queue at the bar is not just at peak times and you often have to wait 20 minutes or more at the snack bar for a drink. They just need to add one member of staff or make the beer and wine self service for AI guests. This alone really lets the hotel down. We stay at 3 or 4 H10 hotels every year and this isn’t up to the chain’s standards for service. There are so many positives and it’s a shame that these simple things spoilt our stay. You don’t want to spend 20 minutes at a time to get drinks on your holiday. Food was excellent. I am vegetarian and gluten free. Plenty of great options for me. Room was really nice. We usually go Privilege but we didn’t this time and were pleasantly surprised with the standard room. Nice grounds, plenty of sunbeds lovely beach on the doorstep. Come on H10, don’t just reply and say it can get busy at peak times; it’s not that, it’s insufficient resourcing. It’s unacceptably bad for a 4 star hotel. Sort that out and it would get a 5 from us.

Hotel expect you to use same towel for the duration of your stay & do not advertise this policy on their website, if you want a clean one you pay €2 per towel per change. Queues for the pool bar & hotel bar are absolutely horrendous. The staff are so rude especially the chef by the pool side snack bar & towel changing life guard by the pool. The beds are rock hard so don’t come if you like a soft mattress. The hotel is in a very remote area & there are no decent restaurants nearby. Only positive I would say about this hotel is that it has a couple of small slides at the pool that are good for small kids.

Having read the reviews I was happy to book this hotel, however after 5 days to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Positives: The rooms are clean and spacious. Some of the beds are hard and some are soft so depending on your preference you may be happy with the comfort of the beds. Water activities at the pool are good for children. Negatives: Service is non-existent. The hotel is grossly understaffed with extensive wait times for basic services. The picture attached shows 14 customers in a queue. That's average for both the pool bar and hotel bar. If you miss breakfast, there is no food available until 1pm. There's a coffee shop which also doesn't open until 1pm, but at several times when it's open there are no staff to serve customers. The indoor pool is closed Sunday & Monday so when the weather is bad there is nothing to do with children unless you pay for the games in the small games room at the bar. Breakfast is appalling. Plates are scarce. With the exception of the room cleaning staff, the general behaviour and demeanour of the staff is shocking. The restaurant and bar staff are under severe pressure which might explain their poor attitudes, however the shop staff are all but discouraging customers from visiting. I asked late one evening for boiling water to clean a baby's bottle and as the restaurant had stopped serving food, and switched off the coffee machine they declined my request and advised me to queue at the bar where there was 1 bar man and 10 customers. Our room is beside the reception and the noise in the evenings is unbelievable. If its not the entertainment downstairs, it's the noise of suitcases up & down the hallway as our room is near the holding area for guests who have checked out. We are near a service lift too, which is constantly in use and very loud. I had to ask Reception to fix the sliding door on the balcony which would not lock, and even after fixing it is unreliable. A few days ago I came back to the room to find the front door had been left open by the cleaning staff, and again had to ask reception to attend to fix as the door needs to be slammed shut it for it to close properly. To use the safe which is free in most hotels, you must pay €20. Overall, I would expect there are better hotel options available for what the H10 Tindaya charge.

We visited this hotel over the water holidays and it was beautiful. The views over the beach were amazing and the room we stayed in was extremely clean and modern and had everything we needed. Plenty of towels, a mini fridge, a safe, loads of wardrobe space/ storage and a spacious balcony. We opted for all inclusive with privledge, and this meant we had a choice of 3 restaurants included for dinner and 2 for breakfast. All dinner had to be booked, and we did find it difficult to get reservations that suited for a young family ( so we could make it to the mini disco on time!) at the 2 non- buffet restaurants. I would recommend trying to book these before you arrive, if possible to get the time you want! We dined once in each and it was a very rushed experience as the mini disco was the highlight of the evening for our kids and could not be missed!! The buffet, however, had loads of choice and the food was great! With all inclusive we had drinks included throughout the day, and a complimentary mini bar which was handy when stuck in the room at night with sleeping kids! There is only 1 pool bar and this is the only option for drinks during the dar which often meant long waits and the same with the 1 bar inside for the evening. The pool bar did not open on the first day of our stay because of bad weather and it took a while for us to get to grips with where we could get drinks etc. (they eventually opened the indoor bar) this could have been sorted out quicker/made clearer to guests! The 3 pool areas were very spacious usually with plenty of sun loungers. We had picked this hotel because of the slides for kids, but the pool with the slides was not heated and our children found it too cold to go in to (as most others it seemed as there was often nobody in it during the day!) There was another pool that was heated and a small kids pool that was warm, which we got good use out of, but was disappointing not to get good use out of the slides/ pirate ship and inflatables they had in the pool one of the days. We loved the evening entertainment and the variety of the kids club and the hotel was beautiful! Unfortunately there is little/nothing in the local area, very few restaurants or shops, and no street/***** to walk along.

We stayed for ten nights last May in a privilege junior suite with terrace and found the H10 Tindaya to be an excellent all-round hotel. We have stayed at many H10 hotels before, some five times but I would highly recommend the Tindaya, it does not exceed in every aspect, but it does not let you down in any aspect either. From arriving at reception and being greeted by Samual Martinez, who is by far the best front of house employee I have had the pleasure of meeting at any H10 hotel! everything just seemed to work, Samual could not do enough for us throughout our stay and was a breath of fresh air compared to the reception staff at our last H01 hotel only a few months earlier. The room was a good size, well proportioned, spotlessly clean and well maintained, a great terrace with full sun and a sea view. The restaurants where excellent, we always had breakfast in the Alisios, lunch in the Betancuria and evening meal in either the Alissios or route 66, never disappointed with the quality or service and any restaurant. We found the privilege lounge to be comfortable and more than adequate with the variety of drinks and snacks available, we only use the solarium once but it was nicely set out with limited drinks available for self-service. The entertainment was as expected at mainstream hotels, with this being a family hotel the children certainly enjoyed the early evening sessions with Daisy, though the entertainment room was rather busy the bar people worked tirelessly to ensure you never waited for long, oh, did I mention Voll Damm on draught, excellent! The grounds are well maintained and though there was work being carried out on the pool bar area this was of no inconvenience, the hotel is in a nice position to have a walk around the beach or along the paved area. Overall an excellent hotel, great location, a decent privilege package, great room option, exceptional food and service, the staff are just excellent, we will certainly return and are hoping that our visit to another H10 in Mexico in six week’s time can complete with the service given at the Tindaya.

Solo holiday (female) ... hotel is good for solo travellers. I went off peak in March 2023. Food was delicious plenty of variety, bit annoying you have to book your dinner time( &even then it's still busy) The coffee shop outside Mikes wow this place was my favourite.. do try! Great entertainment was the best I've seen in spain/canaries actually. Good wine prosecco and all drinks nice. Rooms good , comfy bed and gardens clean and well maintained. Overall good hotel and good staff. Beautiful views and stunning grounds. Cons: Paying to have your towels changed not good and paying for a safe?! Bars extremely understaffed takes so long for a drink inside and out. Pools need some tlc. There were cochroaches! I only saw in downstairs toilets. Not enough seating In the buffet area or the entertainment room/bar. Having to pay extra if you check out late to continue using facilities drinks and food. Pool snacks need to be covered better birds coming in. This place is not 4 star more 3 star. However I would return. I have stayed at pajara beach next door previously which was a bit better.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and so posh. Food & drink were excellent. All mouth melting and delicious. The location of the hotel is located right next to the beach. The view of the ocean is breathtaking. I do highly recommend this hotel. Best holiday in my life. Was the best hotel where I ever been. Thank you

Hygiene hazard hotel. Entrance smells like sewer, cockroaches on bedroom floor, big red stain from previous guests on the floor not cleaned by housekeeping in 4 days. Food is below expectations for a hotel with this rating and price. After dinner amusement (concerts, shows etc.) disappointing. Power grid in room was made by a illiterate child (some switches dont work, others work for a short duration after turning off the lights) so charging your phone will be a problem. The workers are very loud during the day. Parking is just sad.
