Outstanding stay at this romantic location. Skibbereen is lovely, great market on a Saturday and a lovely toen, but Liss Ard is amazing. Beautiful location and exceptional service. The staff are very attentive and the food is excellent. Highly recommend.

What an incredible experience, the only pitfall being that the restaurant was closed during our stay. However, that does not take away from the rest of the experiences. The staff were really amazing from front of house to the bar staff, they couldn’t do enough for us. The facilities are impeccable, they’ve reall thought of everything and if we were missing something in our room like a kettle and cups for instance, they were delivered to our room door within minutes of the request. We are a couple with mobility issues and were given a ground floor room, which was very roomy with a 4 posted bed and a back door with a small seating area outside. And to help us see the whole estate we were offered a gold buggy which allowed us to get to the Sky Garden, a must see for travellers and to get to the Sauna on site. I cannot fault this hotel, of alll the hotels in Ireland I’ve experienced this is leaps and bounds ahead of them all in style, comfort and service. 5 stars all round. So much so we couldn’t resist the urge to book and stay an extra night.

Beautiful grounds, comfortable & stylish room. Food offering well below average - bar lunch was so disappointing . We commented this to 2 members of staff - nothing was taken off our bill. So we cancelled our dinner plans to eat in the hotel that evening. Breakfast is served in a very dull basement area. The scones /muffins were all stale. The mixed fruit bowl was empty - no one offered to fill it. Overcooked bacon served on stale muffins. Staff were friendly but disinterested - seemed like they were all on a training programme. When I checked out, I wasn’t even asked if I had enjoyed my stay - just cash or card ?? I might have been at a supermarket checkout rather than a high end hotel.

We stayed here for one night to celebrate my Birthday and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food and service was of an extremely high standard, especially Victor, who was so friendly and attentive during our meal. The room we stayed in was beautiful and they left a little gift in the room for my birthday which was so thoughtful. The pillows and bedding were amazing! The grounds around the hotel were stunning. We had such an amazing stay, I would definitely recommend 10/10

We stayed here for our anniversary. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. T food and service were delivered to a high standard by what I believe is a new management team. Loved the outdoor sauna and the views.. we work in the industry and appreciated the great hospitality. The receptionist was very friendly upon arrival.

We stayed for one night in Liss Ard and had such a wonderful time. We were so well looked after. I particularly liked how we felt like we were only two of very few guests as the estate is so vast, makes you feel part of something special. I had a pregnancy massage and it was one of the best massages i had ever had. My husband used the Sauna which on arrival wasn't ready for him, however the staff took this off our bill which we thought was a really generous gesture. The food was incredible, so seasonal and delicious. The staff were all superb. I will be recommending Liss Ard Estate to everyone, and look forward to returning some day.
