Side Star Resort Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive

We stopped at this hotel towards the end of October 2024. Weather was lovely (27-33 degrees) although quite a bit cooler in the evenings which prevented us from joining a few of the outdoor shows/events. The inside lounges are very nice though. The hotel including rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. There was also plenty of food options in the main restaurant. We didn't feel the need to try the a la carte restaurants. The staff were also friendly and helpful. It was busy around the pool area, and with a few sun beds reserved for seemingly non-existent guests. The one thing we noticed was that the pool was very cool. The main pool isn't heated and even after 20 minutes, still felt cold. This was our only gripe. The smaller splash pool where the slides enter was heated, although a sign suggested that this was not always the case. It's a short walk down to the private beach where there is another all inclusive bar/food outlet and lots of sun beds. Wifi also extends to the beach which is useful. Our mobile phone tariffs didn't extend to Turkey and it is very expensive to use out of tariff. There is a cashpoint about 5 minutes from the hotel. There was a minimum withdrawal amount of 50 Euros and a fee was also charged. Therefore not sure whether it is just better to take the cash rather than the top up cards - not that we needed much. Everything is priced in Euros although some of the shops convert the amount to Lira on payment. Again, this prevented us from using the Euros we had transferred to a payment card (Barclays Wallet). Something to be aware of. There are lots of shops about 10 minutes walk away, and we also got on a local bus to the Side market (2E each). Overall very good, and we had a lovely time. Thank you.

Arrived early evening after smooth arrival from UK c/o Jet2. Hotel was 1st drop off from Antalya airport, some 50mins away. Weather upon arrival was lovely! {however this was about to change quite dramatically!} Impressive reception area, very Egyptian looking - a theme that was seen thru hotel and outside..Staff during our stay were wonderful - from our housekeeper right thru to customer relations [who asked of our opinions of the place] Plenty of options of food incl 3 a la carte restaurants, all of which we tried and loved..The room was well furnished, airy and bright - we opted for a top floor sea view and were not disappointed at all...nice big bed, free mini bar, walk in shower, plenty of storage space for your clobber Several bars - main one was near reception, there was one in the disco bar, the room where entertainments took place, and of course the pool as well - beach bar was shut, [end of season maybe?] From 1am on the Tuesday we were there, the weather took a turn for the worst - as the storms that had battered Athens and Greece, scampered along the Med coast Eastwards and stopped above Side - for three days, it poured incessantly, the thunder and lightning were both mesmeric and frequently scary Any thoughts of jumping on a Dolmus into Side were put on a back burner thanks to the no go anywhere weather, {Dolmus stops outside hotel - its the number 5 for either side or Manavgat} So we chilled with several good books, the IPod and a very nearby bar! I cannot comment on what was outside hotel as [again] due to weather we stayed put! Thru out the hotel was spotless, and the toilets were also too [always a good sign] The hotel also possesses a row of shops incl Jewellers, Hair salon, gift shop and one dealing with spectacles.. Down a floor gets you the massage and sauna with the indoor pool. The walk to the nearby beach is reasonably easy and short, towards the beach it does get slightly steep - but not of an issue to the majority i would say however, courtesy bus is available if required. Several wheel chair users were seen at the hotel - of which were catered for fine... Only minus for us was the weather - a factor no one can control...in room flat screen TV has limited Brit channels , but there's always BBC World to fall back on for events happening back home... Great Hotel, Amazing Staff, Plenty of facilities to occupy you if weather crap, yeah... we'll return! [but not in late Nov lol!} Oh and the EFES Beer is excellent!

This is one of the best places I have stayed, the room was huge. We got a family room with two bedrooms. Hotel was spotless, so clean, staff were amazing. Near the beach, own beach bar, heated outdoor pool with slides, the other pool was so cold! Indoor pool great, very out of the way from everything but you can get a bus outside. No issues walking around outside the hotel as a single female with a young child. Shops a short walk away possibly ten minutes or so. Food was delicious and plenty of choice, great price less than £1000 for a family of 3 all inclusive! Would highly recommend this hotel, just bare in mind that it is away from the town and in a quiet location, but this wasn’t an issue for us and we got the bus when we wanted to explore. The little restaurants the did set meals in the hotel were amazing and included in the all inclusive. A few cats and dogs around be careful as they weren’t all friendly, if you left them alone they left you alone. Cat houses and feeding station was great so the cats were taken care of by the hotel.

We had a great holiday stay here in January. From checking in to checking out all staff have been amazing. Great clean room, great food, great staff, everything has been 5*. So much so we have already booked for next year. The hotel was busy with football teams, so not many attended the entertainment in the disco, it would be better if the entertainment could be in the lobby.

Had a great time staff very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Had a great new year party . This was our 7th visit to this hotel we’ve been so well looked after including birthdays and anniversary the staff cannot do enough for you . Great food and pool bar with food on until 3 pm

We came to this hotel on a recommendation from my dad from last Christmas. We cannot fault the hotel. Always clean and tidy. Maintenance are always doing something. The rooms were fantastic We had a family room with a sea view from the balcony. 2 rooms one for us and one for kids both with TV. Mini bar and room cleaned daily. The hotel food is great always a good choice and cooked fresh in front of you. The bar staff and waiters couldn't do enough for you always making sure you had drinks. Special mention to Kadir and Servgi bot assets to your hotel. Only downside was the main pool was freezing nobody swam in It only the old child jumping in and straight out to the warm slide pool.
