Awesome pool, good common areas but terrible room. Room was too small, beds were extremely uncomfortable, sheets were dirty and the walls were extremely thin with no sound insulation.

Only rated 3 stars but I am thinking by the 4 stars is roughing it crowd. Charming oldish hotel with great staff, sweet pool, 10 steps from beach and a variety of beach food. Best red snapper ever last night. Be back in a heartbeat..

This was a great place to stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The in-house restaurant was great! There was live entertainment in the courtyard and the pool is beautiful. The attached market is very convenient if you need any supplies or snacks or drinks. It is within easy walking distance of the beach (1-2 minute walk). Would recommend!

Front desk staff were amazing, especially Luis. Very helpful and considerate as was the cleaning staff.

Loved our stay at The Palms! We were originally supposed to stay for two nights but added an additional one on for the same deal we originally got! 150 yards to the beach and just off of the main drag of Coco so quiet but still five minutes walk to numerous restaurants/bars and local shops. Friendly and attentive staff, beautiful facilities, and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Our family visited Costa Rica recently and stayed at the Palms at Coco Beach...I think it was one of the best decisions we made. The location was so convenient close to the beach, restaurants and shops...did not need to rent a car. We explored the town on foot and were able to interact with the locals better that way. We stayed in the family suite (room 26 - two rooms and four beds on the ground floor). Not having a window facing the outside was weird but did not bother us too much. The only improvement I would suggest is to also provide lotion along with the provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the room. We had some issues with hot water not coming and they sent someone and took care of it in under an hour...amazing. The pool was nice but we did not use it as we were hanging out in the beach more. We had several meals in the onsite restaurant...especially the free breakfast was perfect. On two occasions, we had to leave for tours early in the morning even before breakfast opened. So we requested them to pack some food for us the previous night so we could keep it in the room fridge and take it with us in the morning. They obliged gladly both times...even re-opening the kitchen late in the night after closing one day. ALL folks working at the place were super friendly and helpful. During our stay we also booked a few tours through 'Frank the Tank Tours' all of which were fantastic, well organized and serviced by super knowledgeable and friendly tour guides and drive

Whether it was Laura or Luis at the front desk, Miguel or Chris at the bar, Angelica, John or Jonathan at the restaurant, Jorge or his father doing maintenance, all of the staff was professional, gracious and amenable. The quality of the food and the service at the restaurant made it hard to eat anywhere else. I upgraded from the basic room, which I recommend if you plan to stay more than a day or two, and I got a beautiful and spacious unit, huge shower & king bed. Absolutely will stay here when returning to Coco Beach and I recommend you do the same. Pura Vida!

Very disappointed, due to change in plans had two separate bookings first four night roim was extremely small, couldn't change us as hotel full. Next booking was for three nights, room much better However right next to the bar and snooker table, not able to sleep because of the noise. Left a day early as we knew New Year's eve would be even noisier. Were not given a refund.
