애비글렌 캐슬 호텔(Abbeyglen Castle Hotel)

Perfect location to walk to Connemara. Beautiful gardens and rooms! Exterior is true castle

第一次是六年前服務質量都非常好， 所以新冠之後來到愛爾蘭首選就是它， 可惜這一次的整個感覺和第一次差遠了，比較失望☹️…… 首先房間裏面的無線網常常中斷或者是沒信號。打電話和前台聯繫給到我們的回覆，居然是説在鄉村裡信號不好。現在科技已經那麼發達了，這樣的理由實在太牽強了。 其次是房間裏沒有飲用水沒有了， 請服務員送水，結果服務員讓我們自己去拿，這是一個星級的酒店該有的服務嗎？ 理解店家用手寫的菜單來表示他們的高大上，可是整個菜單的字體讓人非常難於閲讀， 密密麻麻的，看的人頭暈。不是那種讓人舒服，明瞭的字體和排版。 既然是城堡酒店，就應該能夠讓人周圍走一走。 六年前是可以的，現在很多地方都圍了門欄。根本無法去走看。

This is a hidden gem. We were told about AbbeyGlen by both family and friends that we would thoroughly enjoy the place and we did. We did include both dinner and breakfast and we were not disappointed. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night. Do not miss the Prosecco reception. Brian the hotelier made us feel like we were old friends.

We had a wonderful stay. A beautiful room, excellent bathroom (nice roll top bath and good shower. A very good quality breakfast. At 18:30 there’s a sparkling wine reception, where the owner talks about the local history, which great entertainment and interesting.

I booked the Abbeyglen for our choir a party of 34 ..Having been here myself many times I had hoped all would fall in love with the place as much as I had. I have been asked by all to make this a annual event they all had such a good time and experience from start to finish..The warm welcome , atmosphere and attentive service will not be forgotten by all..The hosts are amazing at what they do..The cosy bar and complimentary bubbles and chat about the castle sets you up for a special night..The meal was excellent and great choice of good wines..Everyone loved their rooms as they are filled with charm..The piano bar and singsong will long be remembered.. Thank you to Brian and all staff encountered…Ye are fantastic what ye do…We certainly will be back again..The Choir is still reeling from our recent weekend… Cill Aodain Choral Society

I booked the B&B+dinner package for 11 people who were on a golf committee outing. It was superb from the moment we arrived until we left after breakfast the following day We had played golf in Ballyconeely The entertainment & Prosecco reception was a lovely experience. Our welcome was so warm & friendly.. The food last night was excellent, portions very good & there was lots of choice . The wine was also reasonably priced & very nice 😊 The breakfast was also first class Thanks to all the hardworking staff who made our experience at the Abbeyglen one that we will hold hear in our memories

I was extremely impressed with our visit. I would love to come back and just stay at the castle. First, there’s a ton of parking, so no need to stress if you’re driving. Second, the castle is so charming and decorated eclectically, which I personally enjoyed very much. My husband and I had drinks and played scrabble in a sitting room and it will forever be one of my greatest memories. Third, the atmosphere. The owners and staff are outgoing, friendly, and are just outright personable. I very much enjoyed the free Prosecco and history of the hotel followed by an amazingly tasty dinner service. The hotel attracts so many welcoming clientele and we felt comfortable, which in turn gave the opportunity to make new friends. My only critique was our room. The mattress was too firm for our liking, making it difficult to sleep. In addition, the bathroom was quite large, but didn’t have a lot of countertop space. We also noticed one of the sconces was falling off the wall and the shower head was completely detached from the wall; it worked just fine though. Little inconvenience for a wonderful experience.

Wow what can I say - room with four poster bed, fab views from windows & spotlessly clean, huge bathroom. Food was top notch however could do with a bigger selection for lunch. Staff friendly & welcoming. The hospitality from the brothers Brian & Ronan is second to none, from the chats to offering glasses of prosecco to entertainment on the piano. The atmosphere here is the best I've experienced, not like a cold unwelcoming hotel it really did feel like we were at home but with a lot more people. We will definitely be back.

The Abbeyglen is a wonderful old world environment in deepest Connemara and the warmth and friendliness of the management and staff matches the setting perfectly. Very comfortable accommodation and excellent food. The talk on the history of the Castle and the area was a highlight and the piano led sing-song in the bar was fun.
