Ees Wyke was simply stunning. The view from our room overlooking the lake said it all really. What can I say? The setting was beautiful, the hotel was comfortable and the food was delicious. It was the perfect place to stay for a complete recharge of batteries, after a few difficult months. The quiet & the solitude were just what we needed in amongst the majesty of the lakes. Richard and his team went above and beyond to make sure that we were well fed & looked after. And we were even offered a glass of bubbles on my birthday. Being a 5 minute drive from Hawkshead and a hop, skip and a jump from Hill Top meant that we could get some long walks in, as well as visiting one of the famous houses in The Lakes. All in all I would highly recommend Ees Wyke Country House and I look forward to returning at some point in the future.

I cannot relay how disappointed I was with the Inn. The food we ordered was very poor, one of our party returned his Lamb and I should have returned my beef as it was too tough to eat. The staff looking after our table were quite blunt verging on rude when I relayed how tough my beef was when we paid our bill. We were intending to visit the Inn on NY eve but after this awful meal and the way we were treated, we made alternative arrangements. There was also an incident on leaving the inn whereby one of the Inn's regulars (his words) thought it was his business to pull me up on not leaving a tip, saying he had left £5 on my behalf. This caused a bit of a debacle between myself, the regular and one of my fellow diners. The Inn's staff then closed the doors on us. All in all an awful experience.

Last week my husband and I got married in this beautiful hotel chosing the ”Just Us” package along with a few extra guests. We all had the most wonderful time and the day was just magical! From start to finish the whole experience was exceptional. From first viewing the hotel and booking our ceremony, all of the correspondence with the ceremony planner leading up to our big day, everything was seamless and nothing was too much trouble. Even our labrador Barney was made to feel at home with his own little welcome pack The hotel is in the most beautiful location and all of the staff who work there were amazing, working so hard to make our day special. The gardens are lovingly and beautifully cared for which makes this one of the most gorgeous locations overlooking the lake. The food, including afternoon tea and evening meals were exquisite. The only downside was the sadness we felt having to leave this fabulous location. But we will definitely be back in the future.

On this visit I used one of the camping pods in the grounds of YHA Holly How, I not only found them to be very comfortable but very spacious for my needs. With full access to the facilities within the hostel as well it made for a very enjoyable visit. If you want somewhere to stay within the Coniston area that will give you a good base for your visit without breaking the bank this is it.

매우 유쾌하게 놀랐고, 영국인 집사가 매우 친절했습니다. 방은 깨끗하고 고급스럽습니다. 유일한 단점은 목욕물이 부스터 펌프를 사용하기 때문에 조금 시끄럽다는 점입니다.
