Das Hotel ist viel besser als man es vermuten würde wenn man die Bewertungen auf dieser Seite liegt. Die Bilder hier von den Zimmer sind etwas sehr überholt. Mein Zimmer im 2. Stock war modern und offensichtlich vor nicht allzulanger Zeit komplett renoviert worden. Ein schicker Bodenbelag in Holzoptik, gutes Bett, gute Farbauswahl und im Bad eine große Dusche. Alles tip top sauber. Die nahegelegene Schnellstraße hört man bei geschlossenem Fenster nicht. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist super, eine richtig gute Auswahl, Brötchen vom Bäcker, es wird immer schnell wieder aufgefüllt. So macht der Start in den Tag wirklich Spaß.

No porters. Two separate lifts to get to the second floor. I booked a deluxe room and the first room I was given was in the attic with windows the size of the slits used to fire arrows out of in castles. After a serious complaint I was given a proper room however the air conditioner did not work. When I queried this the receptionist said the whole second floor was without air-conditioning this would have been fine if the outside temperature had not been the 34 degrees it was during our stay on top of this the room was west facing so the temperature inside the room was well into the 30's most of the time. The secure parking is €16 per day and the swimming pool an extra €6 per person per day. The restaurant was full of flies at breakfast time and front door did not work on the day we left so everyone had to use a side door.

As our booked standard twin bed room category was booked out, we were upgraded to a family room (kind of a junior suite), although with a queen bed and the infamous connecting door I asked to avoid when making the reservation. But the very nice room made up for that and no sound could be heard from the (vacant?) adjacent room. The hotel has a quirky ”bike” theme as Magdeburg is a prominent stop on the ”Elbe-Radweg” (bike trail along the river Elbe). We slept perfectly, bedding was good, the bathroom with shower was spacious and comfortable and there was a separate toilet. The breakfast buffet was high quality and keeping in mind, that ibis styles is a budget chain, more than sufficient. The Accor All silver status was honored with a free drinks voucher in the well visited bar. We were very happy with our stay!

Right from the start with check-in, our experience was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious. We would certainly stay there again. Location was walking distance to many restaurants.

Mooi ingerichte en fijne kamers, voorzien van alle luxe. En vooral zeer schoon. Super gezellige bar met diverse zitjes. Het ontbijtbuffet was heel erg uitgebreid. En alle personeelsleden waren ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Top service! Een aanrader en we gaan zeker nog eens terug...
