We have stayed in wonderful hotels, palaces, paradores in five continents. El Miradore de Guadal is by far the best! Wonderful views, lovely accommodation, delicious food and above all such warmth and generosity from Stefan and Carolina, their family and their team. Quite remarkable to have had the vision and skill to conceive the idea, design and build it, to train the team and then to persist for many years. A remarkable place and a very special couple. This is one of the easiest reviews to write. All positive comments in the other reviews are valid. This is a wonderful place to stay. And that is valid for all aspects which make a stay great: atmosphere, quality of the lodging, size of the cabins, cleanliness, quality of the food (breakfast and dinner), welcoming of the staff and the owners, .... You name it. Top notch.

Hands down our favourite stay of our whole three week Cartera Austral trip! Stefan, Carolina, Thomas, and Laura made us feel like part of the family for the four nights we were with them. Evening meals in the restaurant were incredibly tasty with super fresh ingredients and the best pisco sours we have had in Chile. The cabins were homely, the views incredible, and they could not have done more to help us including giving walk suggestions and helping us book activities with great suppliers. Just book!

We have stayed at a dozen hotels and lodges in our trip to Patagonia in January 2024, and El Mirador del Guadal was on the top of the list of best stays. Owners Carolina and Stefan were very hospitable and friendly not to only us but to all guests. They were always friendly and asked us how our stay was going and recommended places to visit. We stayed at cabaña “La Lenga” with very confortable beds, stove and logs for heating up the place, hot showers, and specially, breathtaking views of General Carrera Lake. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and a calm and relaxing music was always playing on the background. We had only one regret… not have stayed more days… We’ll miss this place! What a location! There are numerous stunning locations on Lago General Carrera but this takes some beating. Super friendly welcome from Stefan and Caroline, the owners and a spcious, cute and relaxing cabin with endless views. The food is excellent and the staff as welcoming as the owners.

What a beautiful place. Everything was perfect. Gorgeous cabins, amazing views, wonderful hospitality and delicious food. Very clean and well decorated. The owners were so friendly. Would love to go back. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed.
